4717, AWD handling ??? Posted by FakeID, Jul-10-03 04:11 PM
Do all AWD DSMs suck ass in a corner? Or is my car way outta wack. I get terrible low speed push and wacked out oversteer (brake turn in) at 70mph and above. Between 30-50mph it is neutral but very darty. Just wondering if this is the norm, or if I can look foward to better ing the handling tremendiously.?. I'd like to autocross a little but if it don't get a whole lot better then the S would be a better canadate. The TSi's brakes kick the S's ass, but, they'd have to if I have to come to a halt to turn...
I've accidently gotten sideways twice on the highway now. And I wasn't going anywhere near fast. Seems like a light touch on the brakes and its out she goes. Am I alone with this problem? I know I need all new suspention, is it going to help?

Your car is beat to hell. Replace everything and it will handle better than 90% of the cars on the road. Upgrade the suspension, wheels, and brakes and it will out-handle the other 10% :)
