there's probably a writeup SOMEWHERE for it since it's a commonly used TT. I'll look around in a bit if I have a few min. I'm at work now but just signed on for a few so I could do a "lookey what I got in the mail" post also. ;)

Since youve got the harness, install will be cake! You are looking for the connector thats pushed back underneath the steering column . It is WAY back there. Its easy to find because its the only plug of its size (it will only plug in one place.) Unplug the connector, plug your harness inbetween. Done!

what about those three wires hanging out? it also says that to get the o2 and a/f readings you have to splice into some wires on the ecu. walkthrough for my TT anyone?

ok no problem. There is a diagram on VFAQ that has all the plugs on the ECU labeled what they are for. As long as you know which wire on the tt harness is for what, splicing is cake. the white and green ones are the ones you'll have to run down into the console to splice. then you just pull off the kickpanels, take out the radio and you should have enough room to find the wires.
go here: http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html then click the electrical tab then ECU pinouts for 1G turbos.
there all listed with pictures of the plugs

I have that TT....those wires are for things like guages or antyign that needs constant and switched power...just makes it easier, no splicing. The install for the TT is a joke, just be careful to read the pins on the ECU correctly. I have it hooked up w/a factory alarm and did a mini write up on it a few months ago, IM me if you have any questions:
