1) this is not advanced.

2) this is not in the right section.

I believe there is a section on VFAQ.com or somewhere that shows which vaccuum hoses can be plugged and stuff.
I believe it was posted not too long ago in this section.

You can remove the Charcoal Cannister, and install an EGR blockoff plate. You can also cap some vacuum lines.

As Tony said, check vfaq.com. All the pertinent info should be there.

in all honesty, how much power could you possibly expect by just removing emissions stuff? Isn't the tried and true method of bolt ons a better idea? Plus after you start doing even basic bolt ons you really do get a clearer understanding of how your car works (esp. if you're like me and have forgotten to connect stuff before, like the MAF sensor *DUH* )

Well, getting rid of all that crap won't hurt anything and later on it will make it less confusing when removing/reinstalling parts cause you won't have to remember where this or that came from.
It's a good addition to the free mods when you want to mess around with the car but don't have money for new parts at the time. I'm always looking for shit to do just cause I like to mess around with my cars regardless of whether or not there's something that "needs" to be done. :)

screw emissions, i got all kinds of crap plugged off, and royally messed with, no cat, egr's pluged, NO check engine light, um...... had to throw that in, had a check engine light for like 2 years straight, new built motor, nothin, i have no idea why.
