Ok my boy just got his car up and running. 1997 GSt 100k and he just upgraded his IC piping to Injen and the BOV to something else besides stock.
The car has no mods other than that. The problem is when you take off the car will go till about 3-4k and then feel like when boost kicks in the car is gonna fall apart...I mean the whole passenger side front feels like it's comming aparts...Kinda feels like hard ass wheel hop. But the car isn't hopping.
Every single time boost kick in this happens....Any ideas...I wanna feel this car go.

make a boost leak tester and check for that..is it bucking?
black smoke?

Black smoke and bucking YES......I said to the kid it's a vac leak but he don't trust me ...it also idles at 1500 RPM...anymore ideas

most likely boost leak. The black smoke is from running rich when pressure leaks out and there's "extra" fuel.
Tell him to double check all the couplers and build a boost leak tester.
