Here's the problem. The cv shaft in the 1g awd is shot, but still driveable. I have not gotten a cv shaft for it yet but i was going to take this one out and wait for a new one. I was taking off the brake caliper bolts when the bottoms ones head broke off. My question is do you think i can still drive it like this? it wont come out because the bolt is still holding the caliper in, but I wont want to risk killing anyone if its possible that it may come out. I would drive my 2g but the tires are shit and I cannot get anywhere, not even downhill. I was in the process of switching tires from the 1g on to my 2g but the last 'tuner' lug cracked and stripped out. Now I have to drill it out which will be a pita (Ive been trying for the past 2 days getting it drilled out). So I'm stuck with either driving the 2g with no tread or the 1g with a bad shaft and caliper bolt that has great tires.

Don't drive on it...The last thing you need is to have your caliper go flying up on one bolt and hitting the inside of the wheel and stopping the car all together. (based on stupid experience) Fix it the right way and use a damn torque wrench...and do the CV while you are under there..

drill that bitch out and tap a new hole or buy the 93' big brake upgrade and trash the old ones

so just any 93 brake system is the bigger brake system? is it all around or just front? i may as well as get a whole new god damn spindle :)

The 93' has dual piston caliper and the rotor size is ~11.3" ...I just used the fronts and left the back the same rotor size with metal master pads..

I just did my whole brake system two months for about 250-275
