I have asked some people what it means b/c Ive never heard anyone use that term, and I was just wondering. Here is a sample:

4 - Polish the Intake Elbow Interior. This is located between the intake / intercooler pipe and the throttle body. It usually has a small ridge inside. This should be removed, working carefully with a Dremel tool or a small, very fine grit sanding flapper wheel. The leading edge of the elbow can be **beveled** for better airflow too. Then polish the inside surfaces with 600 grit sandpaper or a "ScotchBrite" pad. The aluminum is soft, so don't get too carried away or gouge it.
5 - **Bevel** the Lead Edge of the Turbo Outlet Elbow. This is the black metal piece which attaches the rubber intake hose leading to the intercooler. The edge facing the turbo can be beveled and opened up slightly. Be careful to keep the turbo clean, and not to bend the pressure sensor hose nipple.

Take something that is flat and cut it at an angle unequal to 90*. Basically take a blunt object and give it a better flowing line. In our cars it means taking say a block shaped opening (as in the edges of the TB elbow might be squared) and grinding away the squared edge to make it sharper and more flow accepting.


Imagine taking a rectangle and cutting from a bottom corner to an opposite top corner. That 'wedge' is a beveled shape.

It means to round off the edges, or cut an angle into it.

It's all cool. To be honest it was kinda petty on my part for that remark.

It's sometimes just a bit frustrating spending alot of time helping out by answering a question with more than just a one sentence response and then the person you were helping just moving on without even acknowledging the help. Makes you less likely to go out of your way, and going out of your way is what makes this community so special I guess.
