Do you guys think this is a good deal? Im sure its too good to be true and the price probably reflects the quality.

Well an intercooler should be thicker rather than longer for maximum efficiency. 2.75" is on the low end for aftermarket FMICs. Most are in the 3.5-4" range.
The price is very good, but I don't trust products that haven't been thoroughly tested.
Also, their kit does not come with any piping, so you have to fabricate your own. Add another $100-$150 for that not including any painting or powdercoating.

this is the same exact intercooler that is being sold on ebay for, I think, like $235 (originally $195) and there's a HUGE thread about it in the dsmtuners.com turbo section http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142778 .. its called the Johnny Racecar Intercooler...

I actually had a Johnnyracecar intercooler. It's great like the thread says for a daily driver. But it's just not big, nor thick enough to dissapate large amounts of heat. Honda guys just eat these things up, but it's designed more for their applications. It's all about your plans.

i think it does come with the piping:
"Intercooler with 1g piping $480 + Shipping Intercooler with 2g piping $480 + Shipping"
so it doesnt seem that bad after all...besides being a little on the thin side.

"This kit includes one intercooler with sizes stated above and shown in the pictures, four mounting brackets as shown in the picture (two large, two small), 5 couplings and four bolts for the threaded inserts in the intercooler."
If it does come with piping, they need to reword that. What a shitty site.

Looks about the same size as a Starion intercooler.

Be careful with this kit, find out where the guy is located. If he is in Rockford IL....stay away for now. A Chicago DSM member posted these "kits" with same prices for a guy he knew building them. Claiming they were a unique design ect. NO TESTING WAS DONE ON THEM YET other than the install on this kids car. Less than a week after he posts about it, i get the listing email from Clubmitsu....... Coincidence....maybe

If ur looking for a FMIC I am trying to get rid of my small greddy FMIC with piping to the stock location. Its for a 2g, so I'm not sure how well it will work for a 1g. but if ur interested hit me up. my AIM is "Basikstylz" or e-mail or PM me
