1510, would you?/should i buy?? Posted by joeck76, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
i have a local guy wanting to sell me a 96 gs-t its black with black leather inside. known problems, head gasket needs replacing and tie rod ends he mentioned that when they replaced the ball joints at mitsi they said the whole in the sub frame was wallowed? can this be fixed? any way he wants 1500 for the car. its a 5 speed and it has 100,000 miles on it. what do you guys think, im pretty good with the 420a but have no experiance with the 4g63? the car starts up fine and drives with no issues other than overheating. thanx in advance

I have no idea what that means. Otherwise it seems like a great deal.

I had lower control arm bushings installed as a factory recall, and when that was done they told me the mounting hole in the subframe was oversized - it has to be plated and redrilled, at some point. The tie rod ends are worn
this is what he wrote me maybe this will make more sence

Go for it. Just be prepared to spend say $2000 in repairs which still puts you at a sweet price and your all set. Awesome deal if you ask me.

Although the 4G63 is amazing, and a GS-T turbo and all is sweet. Think about the long run, don't be kicking yourself in the ass when a GSX is up for sale at a price you can afford.
Someone said this in a post once, or a sig...
Everyone in the non-turbo forums tells you to get a GS-T. Everyone in the turbo forums tells you to get AWD.
Think about the end goals, long run, and what you want out of the car. My GS-T is fun, sweet, fast, and I rarely see a dead stop street race. Works for me, but AWD is something I kinda wish I had, but I got what I got and I'm sticking with it.
