12630, coil pack question. Posted by eclipzGST, Oct-07-03 02:59 AM
I have a spare coil pack here that I picked up a few weeks ago. In the number 4 plug, It's kind of blackened. Is that normal or is it thrashed. Could I just clean it out with some contact cleaner or sumthin?

Just clean it up and see if it works :)

As is the traditional DSM way, try using what you have until it is an absolute failure, then move on :) A DSM wouldn't be a DSM if we were sure everything would work every time. It's part of our living on the edge mentality.

well, see thats just it. I've been having some troubles and aside of having some leaky caps in the ECU, the CP could also be the problem. HOPEFULLY, the new caps fix the problem but if it's the CP, I want to make sure the one I put in is ok and not the same problem as the one in the car now.
