Just put on my christmas present, Got myself an Apexi N1 Downpipe and Catback :thumbsup I had the same thing on my ESI but on the turbo it soulds totally mean, Deep as hell, nothing like it sounded on my NA ESI.
Damn! talk about instant spool-up, as soon as I step on the gas the pressure is up. I put on a 2.5" hard UICP too. I dont have my MBC installed yet and I was sitting at 14psi before the mods, I took it out for a quick spin after installing everything, first time I shifted into third I hit 16 psi and... Fuel Cut... Dammit...
Now what??? It only did it that one time, but I didnt drive it that hard the rest of the day. If i do the fuel cut mod to the MAS by removing the little honeycomb and turning the screw do I need an S-AFC??
Im gonna install my MBC either tomorrow or Saturday and set it to around 13-14 psi. hopefully thatll help... :shrug

I wouldn't worry too much about it. They run pretty rich from the factory so you should be safe. If you used an S-AFC for anything right now, it'd be to lean it out.

Time to port the 02 housing? Is there any write-ups on how to do it or where to port? Ive never even had mine off.... Pictures would be great. Or how to do the Dump tube mod? Ive got a Die Grinder, Welder, and I work at a machine shop so the porting and fabrication are no prob...

if you dont get fuel cut, you may not worry about it really, just think of it as having some vtec. :D ha ha. dont know of any walkthroughs though....

well in that case, port away and install the bigger flapper. that should fix ya.

i am referring to porting out the wastegate and upgrading to a 34mm flapper. it is roughly 40 bucks + porting. that will let your extra pressure you are building out quicker and should alleviate your creeping problems.

where do I get the larger flapper??

www.forcedperformance.net has them under the universal section in gaskets/flanges. good luck. let me know how it turns out.
