Nice writeup. I don't know about setting it so it's open a crack though. :shrug
I set mine so it's shut all the way and then gave it another turn or so before I tightened it up.

bov draws air in? not when you let off at full boost atleast. haha on my friends wrx you tell people to watch the inside of the bov carefully then rev the car so they get a big gush

LOL.
Yeah, it's funny when people want to see my engine and I pop the hood when it's running. I then rev it up a little by hand with the throttle and when it goes off, they jump back scared. :P
And thats with it recirculated. If I was venting to the atmosphere, they'd probably shit themselves.

They only sound good when you're running really high boost. Otherwise, they sound like a sick turkey.
