Ok i'm still tryign to track down a very maddening misfire problem (finally tripped a CEL...P00103 or whatever, #1 cylender misfire) and i'm goign through all of the ignition components first because they need changing anyways, then gonna move on to TPS, etc...

My spark plug socket won't fit over the head of the spark plug! Its a craftsman with the rubber dealie---am I just retarded or missing something here? What do you guys use to take out the plugs? I hope to God they're not sealed in there, but its not that the socket isn't turning, its just not grabbing anything, like its too short...

just push it down harder. The rubber in the socket could be kind of stiff.
Or, use a deep socket without the rubber. After the plug is all the way unscrewed, use the end of the plug wire to pull it out.

you sure its the right size? i have two different socket sizes i have to keep because of the year differences in my 2g and 1g.

should be either 5/8 or 13/16... I forget. :shrug

yeah well its the same socket that i used on my 2gnt, so it would only figure that its the wrong size...i'll have to go pick up another one...I think this one is 5/8th's, is anyone sure of the size i'm looking for?

well, if the 5/8 is too small, that leaves you with 13/16. :P
Those are the 2 I have in my toolbox, I just wasn't sure which one was for what...

The 4G63 plugs are smaller than the 420a. Get a smaller socket :P (yeah, it has been said already, but I wanted to say it again anyway)
