11714, Bent internal wastegate flapper? Posted by thedawg, Mar-10-04 10:10 AM WTF? How did this happen? It's like someone bent the wastegate flapper down half an inch?! Now it doesn't even come close to sealing. How would I fix this? I can't even figure out how to remove the flapper arm without grinding it off, its not adjustable or anything right?

The bearing sleeve that the flapper sits in can wiggle itself out of the turbo. I just whacked the thing with a hammer until it went back in. Hopefully it'll stay.
