11612, Greddy = Satan Jr. ...help with a type S conversion Posted by Vandy420a, Mar-15-04 08:09 AM
ok I learned my lesson, stick with the tried and true...my type S just gave up the ghost (after 7 months, jerks), and now I have no car. Their reccommendation was to "take it to a machine shop and have it re-threaded, then buy a bigger screw". Right. I know there are about 190387409732 people on this site alone with this problem, but no one has posted anything in detail about a solution...
Question is: Does anyone sell an adaptor for a type S flange to a 1g bov? I looked through about 500 posts on tuners and here, no dice. Or, has anyone done this fix with success, or could I do it myself with a tap? I really hate to buy a new type S, and i'm gonna get a front mount in about 3 months (with a 16g swap), so i'd hate to buy a new UIC pipe too...
Thanks!
Vandy

that will work ^^^. Also. As far as the flange thing if you want to swap BOV's, I think you can put a type-s on a modified 1G flange but not the other way around. I'm pretty sure the greddy flange isn't as long.
