11241, I know this is a stupid question, but... Posted by Nackers, Apr-18-04 05:18 AM
I have been searching DSMTuners and DSMTalk and I see a bunch of threads about people trying to run "open circut" BOV's with little luck. I understand that the sensor reads the air and puts the correct amount of fuel to compinsate, but all the treads I have seen are about the 2g. I haven't looked at the 1G that much, but even if I did, I wouldn't know if I could run the BOV "open" without trying it. So, <n00b question> can I run the 1g with the stock BOV without the dump tube and let the bov vent without making the engine stumble?</n00b question> I would rather just get an answer without trying it, cause I don't want to fuck anything up.
Sorry for the basic post. I'm very new to the 4G63 world and still have the "I hate 4G63" mindset.

no- keep the tube on, it has to recirculate into the system because the mass air sensor has already accounted for that air... theres several posts on it here, i know jeff wrote up alot about it in one of the posts about it

You can get a 2.5 or 3" MAF out of pretty much any GM car that uses one and the MAFT is a "translator" that makes the MAF signal useable for a DSM. edit: I just got your IM. Is that what you were going to ask me?
