11002, WTF! I'm starting to get pissed off. Posted by eclipzGST, May-09-04 10:20 AM
I rewired my walbro 190 to try to fix my problem with the car leaning out after 5500 rpms at 18 psi with the rc 550's. After the rewire, I had to lean out my low settings on the S-AFC ALOT. Keeping the rpms steady at 1K, 2K and 3K, I had to drop the settings slowly to around -35 before it got "lumpy" and the ECU stopped adjusting. I then bought it back up +10 to -25. I read the settings page on RRE's website and that is how they said to do it. At WOT, however, the o2's stayed pretty much the same at around .94V and are STILL dropping off at 5500-6000K. I was really hoping the re-wire was going to solve this issue but I guess not. The only thing I can think of now is that maybe the 550's aren't enough??? I don't see how that is possible when other people have run much higher boost with no problems. Could it be the fact that the o2 sensor is getting so hot that I'm not getting accurate readings? After a couple 2nd gear pulls last night, I pulled over to turn the boost down a little and my manifold was glowing pretty good. I let off as soon as the voltage started dropping but power still felt ok and the exaust pitch didn't really change which is making me wonder if it really is leaning out like the guages are saying. I was kind of temped to stay on it a little longer through the shift to "drive" which is at 6500 rpms (I have A/T tranny) But don't want to damage anything. Any more ideas?

I would not suggest RC injectors at all in the first place. I have read tons of reviews saying they are crap. I'd stay away.
See if you can sell them and get some 660cc injectors. That very well may be the problem. 550cc was a great upgrade back in the day, but they are quite small now.

CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP.
I sold them right away and went with the 660's. So far I have had no problems.

mine seat fine. I have no leaks. I got some input from the NEDSM guys and they say that my o2 readings are being caused by misfiring. I'm going to richen up the lower rpm settings and see what happens.... If that doesn't work, I guess I gotta find a set of 650's or 660's. The wife is gonna love this. lol.:P

Do you or any of your friends have a datalogger? If so, you should check your injector duty cycle. That would be a quick way to see if you are exceeding the limit of your 550s.

dont trust the 02's to be 100% accurate, i would get a datalogger and double check

I have 660's for sale. Actually they are in my work bag at my feet right this second. Buschur 660's used less than 300 miles.
Tony, you know you want them. :love

forget it. It's not really as big a problem as I thought. It's just my o2 sensor flaking out. :rolleyes It's happened to a few people from NEDSM with the same exact symptoms. I'm gonna replace it this weekend. Matt, thanks for the offer but I won't be needing them hopefully till next season when I get a new car budget. :P I'm over my budget for 2004 by about $2500 already. lol. Next year I'll either be going for a blow through MAF/MAFT setup or external wastegate. Maybe both :shrug we'll see... ;)

I love replying to my own posts. :P Anywhoo... I grew some balls tonight and ran it to redline to see if those guys were correct and figured if it started misfiring or timing was noticiceably getting pulled, I'd just let off... Well, it DIDN'T BLOW UP!! :evilgrin I'm gonna order an o2 sensor from Connicelli and then kiss my wifes ass till she lets me get a datalogger. :P
