hey guys..after i installed my mbc today.. i have my boost set around 14 psi..... i noticed that my boost just starts dropping as soon as i get to around 5k rpms... is this normal? i've never had a turbo before so i don't know these things... and if its not normal..what could cause it..

If you have 2G with the stock turbo, that is normal.
You're gonna have to deal with it till you get a bigger turbo. :P

good..i was thinkin somethin else was goin wrong.. but i'm glad its normal :)

haha mine JUST started doing that----i'm not sure why it didnt' before...maybe b/c its warmer outside :shrug ......or maybe i'm just a dumbass.

Its probably a little bit of "A" and a lotta bit of "B"

There is a very easy, cheap solution to this common problem.

Spend about $100 for a 14b turbo off a 1st gen and swap it in. :)

I have a 14b and a 1g bov for sale. Turbo needs a rebuild though, but the BOV is brand new.

Dammit I have most of that stuff and never got back to you. I will find out exactly what I have an don't have and let you know, I swear. I got so freaking busy and forgot.

I know I have at least the lower IC piping, oil feed, and other goodies.
