ok guys, i just got approved for a car loan today so i am going to be picking up a gsx fairly soon. i found one that i want, fairly close to stock and cheaper than most others. do you guys think its a good deal and should i give him the asking price or offer a little less?

btw, i checked kbb and the value for that car is about 7700 so im thinking of offering 8200 since itll cost me 775 to ship the car to florida; just not sure if thats a fair offer or not.

I'd offer 8K, letting them know its above blue book. It's close to the price so he can't really complain. I doubt he's getting tons of offers either.

I'll sell you my 98 gsx with 102k for 6k.. needs a rebuild, but it has a shep racing tranny, evo 16g and all the supporting mods. It's ready for a 6 bolt and needs a little work, just trying to give ya options.

8k sounds fair, considering the car has to be shipped. Be sure to ask the owner at what mileage the timing belt was serviced.

no idea about the exhaust but itll be changed soon after i get it anyway. good deal on your gsx but i wanna get one as close to stock as possible.

thanks for the help guys. ill offer him 8k and hopefully hell take it so i can have as much left over for mods as possible; ill be sure to ask him about the timing belt as well.

the car is pretty much mine, just gotta pay him and get the car shipped down here to florida.
