you could use a laptop, and one of the cables. You can pick up the tunerstein program here http://students.db.erau.edu/~szabafab/stein/

hope that helps

PDA'S are cheap. Basically you have to look at your goals for the car. How serious of a turbo do you want to run? What is your budget? DSMLINK or something similar is definitely the best, and Hahn has a new product out that's a little cheaper than DSM link, but a pocketlogger is a cheap alternative IMO if you're only going to be running a smaller turbo.

here's pretty muhc how it breaks down

pocketlogger - slow but cheap - $250 ish with everything you need
DSMLINK - very fast but very complex - 1k to 1500ish (evrthng)

there is a middle ground with a new product out there...I did some searching but couln't find it...sorry :shrug

keep in mind that DSMlink is ALOT better, though....if I wasn't in such a tight spot for funds (stupid uncle sam) i'd have gone with ti or something similar...

So, I already have a palm and the hotsync cable that goes from the palm to a serial plug. Do I just need the $16 obd2 cable from digimoto and some software and I'm ready to go?
I'm glad I found out the cable is so cheap from digimoto before I went and spent $175 for the pocketlogger cable and software.
