The car is up and running beautifully. Had the alternator installed in about 1.5 hours, pain in the ass to get out of there. Oh well, it is all done, alternator works great, not having any problems keeping the belt on, no probs whatsoever. Definitely appears to be a good alternator.

what about the dimming issues?

I will be finding out about that tonight when I start hooking everything back up in my car. It is all tore apart right now, but will get tested out tonight. I'll let ya know. Might as well find out before I put in the cap.

Holy shit guys...my old alternator was choking the hell out of my stereo stystem. Lights don't dim at all, even at idle, and that's 1100 watts running through!!!! My stereo is hitting so freaking hard now and I don't even have the capacitor installed yet. WOW!!

GREAT! i'm glad it works.. i'll definitely keep this in mind if i have alternator problems....
