Well on Tuesday I was looking at used cars on a local lot with my girlfriend and I noticed a 1g sitting back in the weeds. I went inside and asked the guy what the deal was and he said it ran two years ago but smoked like a bitch. He said his mechanic diagnosed it as a bad turbo and they didnt want to fix it so the car has sit back there since 98. He said he wanted 600 for it so I offered him 500 cash and he said sure thing. So I gave him the deposit and payed him on Wedsneday.

I didnt realize what I had just bought until I looked at it on Wed. (in the daytime) This car is spotless inside and out. The interior is just as good as my 97 with no stains in the carpet and no rips in the seats...at all. The outside is a green color (G31) and last night I was screwin around and waxed one of the pop up headlights and WOW...the paint looks brand new. Still got an awesome shine.

The car itself is a 91 gs turbo FWD. I really wanted AWD but with a deal like this that was local and for cheap, I couldnt pass it up.

Last night I got the car to start for 10 seconds with starter fluid and stale gas. This weekend I am changing out:
-Gas
-Oil
-Plugs
-Plug Wires
-Cleaning injectors
-Fuel filter
-Air filter
-Oil filter
-Suggestions of anything else?

And then go from there and see if it really is the turbo that is bad. After the car is running good I am doing a timing belt. I am going to have pictures up tonight of the car all dirty and some this weekend of it all waxed, and new wheels!

Take care of all the stuff you listed and go from there. If in fact the turbo is bad, get another 14b and then start having some fun!

Well here they are. It will be all cleaned up and waxed tomorrow I hope and I will post more. Please remember that this car has not been washed or waxed or anything inside and out for 6 years now. The reason I couldnt get it to start (I HOPE) is the fuel pump shown below.

Just out of curiousity, how many of those little studs did you break taking out the FP?

Awesome car man, great find! I would get a whole new gas tank and fuel pump assy just to be safe. It looks great though. Take care of it!

Lol, Damn youre lucky, I broke 2 when I did mine and it wasnt even rusty!
