Well you can do the normal intake, headers and exhaust. That stuff is fairly cheap. By cheap, how much are you looking to spend?

Your topic is an oxymoron. Just remember that when you are searching for an upgrade path, you cant just "skip" over parts you don't think you will need to make the power you want. If you could, people would not use them in cars. Just remember to get used parts as often as you can. Use dsmtrader and dsmtuners classifieds.

I think he was just asking what he should do and how to do it cheaply...
I don't recall him asking about anything inparticular or "skipping" steps.

Considering how cheap 1G's are, why are people buying NT's?
I just saw a 93 talon AWD 5-speed for $700 obo in the paper. 120K in good condition with a broken timing belt. For under a grand you could have a decent AWD car! (assuming the valves aren't all bent) Stock heads are cheap anyway...
If I had some extra cash lying around, I'd be all over it. I holding out for another 92 though. 6 bolt/4 bolt owns.

Couple hundred bucks extra and any 90-91 is a 6 bolt/4 bolt. :)
Plus you get to rock the Flip-ups :D
