that i asked what size nut goes on the bottom forward bolt on a 14b turbo? i cant remember who said m10x1.25 but i dont think that is right. i tried the m10x1.25 fine thread because that is all they had and i tried a m10x1.50 regular thread. no go. any other suggestions? thanks!

I just went out and tried. All the o2 housing bolts are M10x1.25 If it wont go in you prolly need to get a tap and chase the threads. They may be all fukered up. If thats not the bolt youre talking about lemme know and Ill check whatever one ya need.

M10x1.25 the nut is the same size as the stud. If the nut wont go onto the stud you need to get a Die to chase the threads to clean em up so the nut will go on.

yeah I had to fabricate my own stud/nut combo from hardware store parts to get that thing to work...
good luck man, and if it comes down to it, taking the turbo off the car makes this 12-98437-0278328 times easier....

you think puttin some pb blaster on the threads will fix it? i dont have a tap and die set. :-( so i need to use an m10x1.25. will fine thread work? that is all i could find. i thought maybe the fine thread was stopping it. dont know though for sure. thanks for all the helps guys, i MIGHT be able to get it done before it snows. :D

what are you wining about? its teh same size as teh bolt on the manifold o the turbo. take one of the heads off that and buy a hex stud from home depot to replace it, jeesh no need to cry

Were you using a metric nut? Youre gonna have to find an M10x1.25 nut for it to work. It has to be the same thread pitch as the bolt for it to go on... As long as you get a m10x1.25 die you can just thread the die on and itll clean up the threads. The pic you posted doesnt look like the threads are that bad. You may just need a nut thats the right size.

oh i know, i have always loved the sound of a good dump. :D so yea, i got another m10x1.25 nut and it went right on. sheesh, i think either someone put the nut i had before it the wrong box, or it was threaded bad or something. whatever, so now the nut is on, and sometime this week i am gonna get all the bolts and that nut tightened down so that i can get that downpipe and stuff on saturday. :-) even then, the car will still have a bad boost leak somewhere so i dont think i will get to hear it dump until i can figure out what is letting in the air that is killing my idle. i will also try to get some videos of it because i said i would before, and never did. :D
