My friend has an older Firebird (think Smokey and the Bandit), it's white and needs work.

She wants me to do the bodywork and paint. This will be fun! Minimal rust (she's buying replacement panels, and I believe it is either on the rockers or front fenders), and a few small dents and dings.

She has no idea on paint color yet, but the white is not staying.

Color suggestions (NO BLACK, I'm talented, but not THAT talented).

Honestly there are only 2 paint schemes that would work...


The classic black with firebird logo up to 1977:

The 1978 special edition "gold" AKA the firebird in "Detroit Rock City"

I don't think that is the front end that I'll be working with.

I'd love to paint that thing metallic flake blue, but it's her car and she decides the color.

I'm waiting on pictures of what it looks like, but I do know that it's the kind where the headlights are seperated.

well, she is from bum-fuck nowhere, Il. All of these people here have a little (or a lot) of white trash in them.

Why dont you make it puke green, since that just happens to be the ugliest model year firebird ever. I hate those. lol

i'm not sure if that is the actual one, but that is how the headlight surrounds are. I'm hoping it doesn't have those ugly things in the front.

If it does, I'm going to take the liberty of making something else to make it look better (or make her buy a new bumper)
