Cyclops, Professor X, and Jean Grey died. WTF

Cyclops died in the first 10 minutes and they didnt even show it.

Good!! They totally fucked up the story line, They jummped into the phoenix saga too early, Please at least tell me that Cabal is in this one.

Theres actually a large possibility that none of them are dead. The phoenix/jean being who she is has survived worse in the comics. Cyclops was never actually shown dying but dissapearing and the phoenix could have moved him to another location and they just never showed it. and professor X was speaking about the ethic's of transfering a persons mind into the body of another.His example being the coma patient he was showing on the tv to his class. If you stayed after the movie they showed an extra scene where he speaks from the coma patient to Moira MacTaggert prof's ex lady friend.

That and the cure they had developed more than likely wasent permanent since at the end magnetos playing chess and if you look you see him wiggle the piece. and leech's(the kid that the cure was made from) power wasent permanent.

And I thought the movie was fucking awsome! But some of my friends weren't too happy about it either so I guess it split a lot of the fans, some liked it some didn't. But damn i loved that movie, and it had some hillarious moments too and funny one liner's.

I didnt see the chess piece wiggle, then again i was too pissed off and was already getting up to leave.

Couplea questions.. Where's Gambit? Archangel only gets 2min max of screen time? How is it the "mutant war" only lasted about 3 days in the movie, but in the comics it was years? I only see one sentinel in the movie... and it's not even a real one. Did the writer ever read the comics, or at least watch the saturday morning cartoons?

I do have to see I was pleased with Kelsey Grahmers performance. True to the character of Beast.

In the comics wasn't the Phoenix good and evil? Cause in the movie Jean/Phoenix was just evil.

I also wish they would have shown Colossus more. They showed him twice, throwing Wolverine, and carrying that TV.

The movie was horrible! It lacked emotion, and you can't even build up the slightest bit of empathy for any character. Brett Ratner sorely under used many characters(Colossus, angel), even Wolverine lacked the punch he had in the first two movies. The Juggernaut is completely misrepresented(He's not british dammit!), they never even touched on the Juggernaut being Xavier's step brother. Brett Ratner bit off way more than he can chew on this one. He couldn't handle all of the characters that he had in the movie. He alienated all the comic book fans with this movie. It was just another summer "popcorn" movie, not even close to what Bryan Singer built up in the first two. Please, if there is to be another movie, do not let him direct!

It seemed like he was trying to do way too much in too little time. To really give this movie any kind of justice it either needed to be split into two 2 hour movies or one 3.5/4 hour movie.

scott deff died, jean said that she killed him. Special effects wise it was awesome, but for the story line... it blew donky bone.

Well, this movie did have the fourth largest opening... ever. $107 million!!!!!

There is much talk of a Wolverine movie that is all about his past, and a Magneto movie about him taking revenge on the nazis that killed his family and whatnot. Magneto is one of the only characters in this movie that actually goes anywhere, and I would totally watch a movie about him.

But my complaint is, yeah, way too many people there. They shouldn't have even bothered introducing any of the bad guys so they could spend more time with Magneto and Pyro (man o man what a homo he was) and develop that rivalry with Iceman and that. Even Halle Berry, arguably the biggest star in this movie, had hardly any lines, and the Beast was way underused but he still kicked ass.

All in all I enjoyed the movie.. a lot. Definitely had more weak spots then the prior two did, though.

I don't understand why Gambit wasn't in the movies. I hope that they have a movie w/ apocalypse cause he was a great villian. The special effects w/ him alone would be awesome. The stuff I DID like: "I'm the Jugernaut BITCH" and when Iceman finally looked like the real iceman, when fighting Pyro. Also, in the last movie they showed an asian chick who I thought was Jubilee but I guess not. Where the hell was Nightcrawler?
I'll look like more of a nerd but here are some other characters they were missing........ Omega Red, mojo, Mr. Sinister, Bishop (the guy from the future), and CABLE! Also Rogue never actually using her powers, and arkangel not doing much. On a side note the preview for Ghost Rider looks pretty cool.

Damn you guys sound like me when it comes to Star Wars lol. But yeah, I saw it, it was pretty suspensful but I don't know much about the actual comic or the cartoon's, was never into them, so I can't compare. I just kept thinking how Jean totally thought she was a Dark Jedi Master lol

there were just too many mutants in there to really use them effectively. Brain singer set the bar too high with the first two I suppose, and I can only hope he does a great job with Superman.

You know that the Phoenix *is* part of Jean and not an alien, right? It was revealed in the comics that Jean is an avatar of the Phoenix and that's why she has the power she does. Check Wikipedia, there's a comprehensive article there.

I went and saw it and i thought it rocked, but I was pissed when they started killing off people. I think they could have made it better, they should have brought in Remy, and if they do make a 4th, it should kick ass. Whats up with rogue losing her powers, in the cartoon she didnt go though with it. Just plain gay!
