9663, GTA:San Andreas question

i just got the game again for my ps2 and ran into a problem...after beating every mission for every strand in the first chapter of the game (ryder, og loc, sweet, big smoke, c.r.a.s.h.), i am unable to get to the final two missions that will allow me to advance to the next chapter and i have no idea why. any ideas?

that's what i ended up checking. prior to looking at that, i didn't think that you had to beat the lowrider race.
