The Land Rover dealer I worked for was bought out BUT I got a job w/ the new company at the last minute! This new store deals w/ Lincoln/Mercury, Jag. and now Land Rover. I will soon be the Lincoln/ Mercury Service Advisor, assuming all goes well in the next couple of months. My boss told me that not only do we get the Ford employee discount but other discounts for being one of the top lin./mer. service depts. He bought his Navigator for around $15,000 less then MSRP. He said there were other cash back offers so whatever deal I got probably wouldn't be as good and I wouldn't be getting anything as expensive as a Navigator.

SOOOOO the ? is what would you buy (Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jag, Mazda, Volvo (exclude Land Rover and Aston Martin for obviously reasons)) If I decide to buy a new car I would wait until I have worked there for awhile obviously but I figured I'd ask now for shits and giggles. Keep in mind I most likely wouldn't spend over $30K. Cars on list off the top of my head.
- RX-8, Mazdaspeed 6 (3 whenever it comes out) and maybe even a Mustang. I still might just get a regular 3 if I decide to get a "normal" car.

I agree. I listed them anyway but I was only interested in the Mazda's. I have 2 friends w/ Mazda 3's who love them. I dunno if the Mazdaspeed 3 would be worth it cause I shouldn't TRY to get something fast cause it won't compare to the VR4, unless I spend a lot more $. Whatever car I get would be a DD. Eventually I'd pick up something else.

Everyone bashes ford, but I've never had a ford leave me stranded. The chevy silverado left me stranded, TWICE! The 2gnt came close, but I out-whitted it.

If (and I do mean IF, since you didn't seem enthuzed) you decide to get a Mustang, wait a few production years so they can get the kinks of a new car ironed out and make minor revisions. I think the 3-valve 4.6l is tough, not to mention 305 hp.
