So every morning i drive to school, i drive by an old Texaco gas station that closed down in 2001. I never noticed until today, but the sign is still up, with the actual gas prices from back then...
$1.19/Gallon for unleaded. Oh how i miss those days. I could fill up my little truck i had for about $13.

Yeah I remember I could fill up my 89 Pontiac LeMans for about $11 man those were the days. When you could drive around just for something to do and not have to worry about wasting gas. I miss those days. x(

wow, I'm from Cali - and I've never seen sub-dollar gas.
It cost me $46 to fill up my tank in the 2gnt this week, at cheapest place in town. yay!

It was $1.57 or so for 93 when I started driving when it approached $2 I was pissed, I would kill for $2/gal now. Ehh can't do anything but suck it up and be glad my insurance rates recently dropped, that's $900 right there a year I get to save.

that is exactly the mentality they want to promote though. they condition everyone to think that X price is high and then lower it a little, then do the same thing again and thus the price continues to go up. they will end up draining the masses of any money that they had left and our economy will be in a farther turd bucket than it is already. greed is an awful thing.

i remember .99 cents a gallon when i had my first car!! I think they left that texaco sign up there to add to the pain as everyone sees their tank going on empty.

Lol, i think so too, because last summer they tore down the building, and the gas pump roof, just left the sign standing, with the prices.

Gas here in Ontario is around $1.08CAN/liter works out to about $3.67USd/Gallon for 87 octane, 91-94 octane is anywhere from $0.15-$0.20/liter higher. :thumbsdown

I'm paying $3.39 right now for regular. I guess its almost a blessing that my turd bucket never runs or I'd be paying 30 cents more. I hate California.

Yea I remember when I first got my license, I think it was about $.75/gallon. When it hit $1, I was freakin cause it cost me like $10-12 to fill up. Now its like $2.90/gallon and I dont even want to say how much I spend in gas. It is 15 miles into the city for work/school, not to mention other trips. Ugh....

Yeah i decided that gas prices are too overwhelming for a twin turbo v6, i'm selling the stealth, and hopefully getting an 04 tiburon tomorrow.

Just filled up tonight for $48.78.
Ain't that about a bitch? Here's to shifting at 3000rpm from now on. LOL
At the same time, this could do wonders for the idiot ricer street racer crowd. Then again...
<FATF> "You want ass, hit Hollywood Blvd.. You want an adrenaline rush, it'll be fifty gallons of premium. Right here. Right now."
(then the dude in the Silvia flashes a gas card and they race) </FATF>
