Been thinking it's getting to be time for a change of scenery. It's official: Five years is all it takes for a midwestern boy to get tired of 100+ days of 100+ degrees each year and no fucking rain.
Since some good friends of the GF and I just moved to SLC yesterday, they told us about this website where you answer some simple questions and it gives you a list of 24 cities where you might like living. If nothing else, it's interesting to see.
http://findyourspot.com
Give it a shot and post up some of the results.
Some of mine: #1: Knoxville, TN? (LMAO. Yeah. Right.) :P -Jacksonville, FL -Cincinnati, OH -Seattle, WA -Carlisle, PA -Denver, CO -Cleveland, OH (Original hometown, ironically) -Houston, TX -SLC, UT - I was actually thinking about these two before the test. -Indianapolis, IN
So it's kinda interesting. Give it a shot. :P

Deland, Florida Brownsville, Texas McAllen, Texas Gainesville, Florida St. Marys, Georgia Brunswick, Georgia San Marcos, Texas Corpus Christi, Texas Bradenton, Florida Savannah, Georgia Crystal River, Florida Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
There were 4 other TX cities, too. Kinda cool, but I don't think I could see myself living in Brownsville or McAllen, but San Marcos is only about 30 miles north of my house.
**EDIT** But I think I'd like some place a little more tropical than San Antonio. Normally, I'd say the humidity sucks and I couldn't stand it; however, the humidity here these last few weeks has been higher than Houston. That's just bad.

That's funny, I've lived in CA all my life, and not a single recommendation for any city in CA. No wonder I'm so bitter. :+

Maybe we should all just move to Houston so we can drive over to Dino's place when the board goes down and ask him when it will be back up? LOL.
Interesting to see how many people are coming up with AZ and TX.
I, too, checked disagree for the large, spanish-speaking population. I also checked something about liking to see a little snow/rain once in a while. :P

DR1665 looks like I might be joining you guys in the west.
Las Cruces, New Mexico Truth or Consequences, New Mexico Henderson, Nevada Yuma, Arizona Las Vegas, Nevada San Bernardino, California Carlsbad, New Mexico Albuquerque, New Mexico Scottsdale, Arizona El Cajon, California
Also something I seen that was very interesting is Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Phoenix, Arizona both cities I have relitives living in. So maybe I will start looking for jobs down there because I really want to live down there and they could probably help me get on feet over there. Hmmm just makes me start thinking.
