Track days are quite fun, sometimes you get an asshat out who can make things go very bad really fast, but in the long run stupid shit on your car tends to break.. i hit a kerb and wrecked a something rod end.. steering related, but it is easily 1000 times more fun then drag racing or a-x.

If you're anything like me, you're hooked. I can't make enough track days as it is, and I'm doing at least 8 days this summer already.

Drag racing is for tuning the engine, auto-x is for tuning the suspension, track days are for humbling Porsche and Corvette owners... ;)

Here's a link to NASA's version of a track day (HPDE). Most clubs do something similar. I just started running with NASA this year and it seems to be a very friendly, well run group. Check out an event in your region and get started!
