7707, Not sure how to feel : A nice angry cop?! Posted by edxmon, Apr-16-06 04:54 PM
ok so im comming from church, and i went out of my way to check out a nice looking girl i saw (forgive me jesus) well im doing a right turn and i didnt stop completely (like should have) a cop car is behind me going crazy fast, he passed the red light perpendicular to the street i was comming from (remember i did a right turn) so he gives me this mad dog look, breaks hard, gets behing me and gets on my drivers side, yells at me "roll down ur window!, u know you have to stop to make a right turn?!!!" so i say "yes, im sorry officer" then he goes "You almost crashed into me you asshole!" all this with a crazy mean face on. mind you this was at a green light, so he he yeslls "get out of here".
now im thankfull he didnt gime a ticket, but i dont think it was "professional" of him to call me names. i had the idea that cops around my town were "cool" but damn this guy, kinda ticked me off, almost made me wanna argue and tell him, well YOU pased a RED light with no siren on! im just wondering what u guys would have done.
from now on im following trafic laws VERBATIM...god that was scary...;(

A guy I know in my hometown who is a cop killed a couple hauling ass through a redlight without his lights or sirens on. The reason I know him is he used to have a hooked up 3g with bags and a kit and all that show stuff. Now he's in the truck scene and has a duallie thats bagged.

WOW if I was that cop I don't know how the hell I could even live with myself knowing I was responsible for a couple of peoples death that did absolutly nothing wrong. I really hope that guy isn't a cop anymore.

I thought if the light is green on your side that you don't have to stop to make a right turn. :scratch I know that you definately have to stop if your gonna make a right and the light is red. I'm from Jersey so I don't know if where your at the law is different. In NY you can't make a right at all if the light is red.

wait...when u made the right, was the light red or green?...if it was green it should be completely his fault (unless the laws are diff. in your state for some reason)...if it was red when u turned right, then yea u shoulda stopped. but u said he went through the red, so im thinking it was green when u turned right? - if thats the case i woulda reported the cop..cops take advantage of the power WAY too much..
my dad was goin across a BRIDGE and a cop flew by him (no lights)..so my dad followed him 2 the police station and reported him 2 the chief lol; found out it was the end of his shift

The way I read it is the light was red when he turned. Yes, he broke the law, but then the cop did the exact same thing by flying around the corner and pulling up beside him and yelling at him... typical cop.
Although I'd still feel grateful he didn't ticket you. A little humility is much better than money out of the pocket.
I was pulled over 4 times in January for my tints, all verbal warnings, and then a state trooper pulled up to me and flashed his spotlight in my window until i opened it up, and this was the angriest looking cop I've ever seen, yelling at me to take my tints off or I'd get a ticket... atfer a few more yells (cuz i was like... what?!) he drove off.. better that than a ticket. I still have my tints on too lol :P

ok here is the details. i DID make a SLIGHTLY illegal right turn because i didnt completely stop :D , but he was commin FROM the street i was turning INTO, does that make more sense? btw in CA u can make a right turn if it is safe to do so, and looked like it was until he came flying. He was flying behind me, and he really startled me since ive been stoped before but no cop had ever yelled at me, ide think they would have to be more civilized since we are in some way "their customers".
i also forgot to add that after he said "get out of here!" i went straight for a couple of blocks with my feet shaking on the pedals, and a few blocks ahead he went flying past me and a minivan, maybe he was still angry or was still in a hurry for the same reason he almost crashed into me. moral is when it says STOP, stop, it doesnt say SLOW DOWN...

If he was in his cruiser, I would have written the license plate down and called the PD and gave them the info.
I hate cops like that. 3 went flying down my residential street at probably 40+ mph with no christmas lights on right after the other. That type of shit pisses me off to no end.

yup was in the cruiser, but all the time he was either behind me, besides me or flying past me!
