I like it. Curious why you chose that style and not a gsxr or busa??? The lack of fairing would bug me after a while..

3 grand cheaper than a gsxr1000.....hyabusa....mabey later like i said this is my first sport bike and i dont want to be tempted to go warp speed lol .... it has alot of low end power and it handles very well, i think it'll be a fun bike riding on curvy roads, which there are alot of where im from. i like its style actually, not like most sport bikes you know? not too flashy.

you are probly gonna die.
most people cant handle a big bike for their first one. it is just easier to learn on a smaller, more nimble, and more forgiving bike.

yup yup, sad but true. i was looking at a ninja 500 when looking for my 2gnt, and my whole family STILL didnt want me getting the 500. i was like "common its a 500 for gods sake!" and they forced me to get the eclipse...which i now love btw hehehehe. just take care of yourself. i not so long ago i was talking to an old school (hes around 60) biker from italy who owns a Ducati dealership down my street. and i said to him (mind you i didnt know much about bikes) "Sir, why is it that people say its almost deadly when a novice rider gets a liter bike?" and he said to me "well in my personal experience its because u dont know how much power you have, and because you dont correcty measure how fast you are going, since these bikes are so powerful you dont think they are working hard, since you dont hear them struggle, unlike a 500 which you can tell is trying to stay alive a 90mph" wise old man...i should go talk to him another time soon.
BTW there is a moral to that story in there some where...just keep safe and dont do crazy shit...

LOL. That's something good to tell a person before they get their first bike. I wanted to get a bike a few months ago when I got my tax return but my wife kept giving me hell about it. She said I would get killed and my dad said the same thing as well as my co-workers. Everyone I work with starting telling me stories of people they knew who got killed on bikes. I'm saving now for a truck. But someday i'm still gonna get a bike regardless of what everyone says. :+

owned. :D
my first bike was the 954RR. ;-) i love it. im a limp wrist on that thing though.
remember one thing. after about 2 weeks, you will stop paying as much attention to everything because you feel like you are a good rider. then it will hit you, you arent. it happened to me, i didnt lay it down or anything, but i realized myself taking more risks, going faster than i should, etc.

I wanted a bike as well... till driving home, I saw a biker trapped under a big ass truck. Needless to say, I'm now obsessed with a 350z instead.

A v-twin liter bike is completely different from a 4 cyl liter bike. The SV is an extremely nimble & balanced bike. If you learned it well and took it to the track, you could probably own the 4 cyl liter bikes. They are VERY torquie, but don't have the HP up top.
Just take it easy whenever you twist that wrist and you'll be okay. Don't get a big head and think you know what you're doing cuz you'll quickly be reminded that you don't. Humble yourself, respect the bike, and you'll do just fine.

I had a SV650S Fun but I rode the 1000s after mine got slow .They are not safe feeling at high speeds and the GSXR600 will run off from it.Rethink this b4 you go and buy one! Just my 2 cents.
