I cruise DSMtalk once a week or so. I saw this topic and just had to see what it was about.

Some new guy asks this question...
"Wouldn't a boosted 420a be faster than a stock GS-T?"

Here was one classic reply from the experts.

"it is a big waste of time. if anything get your self a dsm that is already a turbo rather than putting a turbo on that engine. The capabilities of that engine are very limited. You may get it a tiny bit faster than a stock GS-T but that is about the furthest you might get. I can't think of anyone making any halfway decent numbers with that engine but correct me if I'm wrong."



No one has suggested he visit 2GNT yet. Do you think they know we're here?

Some of them do. Dino, who sort of runs this site, is a member there, and a fairly well respected member at that.

Ive only been a member of that site for a couple weeks and already its starting to piss me off. Today I was giving some kid some information about star turbo kits and where to buy them etc, and mentioned 2gnt.com in the process. A couple of hours later, some douche-bag replied to that post and one other that I had made. "Worthless thread" is what he said. They all think the 420a is a joke over there. f*ckin cretins

By the way, I already made a post about this. It seems odd that there are two like occurences happening this close to each other.

And they're going to keep ripping on the 420A til you guys do something about it. If you want it to stop then shut them up by making your car fast. They don't respect potential; they respect a motor that already has the important components to put them into 11's, 12's and 13's with ease.

people should just start posting links to the video and thread of the 12.5 stock bottom end RS, even if a lot of people here still don't believe it. Hell there's that other video of the guy with the built engine hitting mid 12's too, they need to see that stuff and then maybe that'll shut 'em up

Moneypit, I would suggest you just give up on trying to prove anything over there. Did you happen to notice the guy talking all this shit, A) Has something VTEC-related in his avatar, B) Is a "new DSMTalker" with less than 50 posts, and C) Lists his car as a 2000 Eclipse GT?

If that isn't a recipe for someone just having fun watching newbies getting sand in their vaginas, I don't know what is.

I wouldn't even bother posting there. If someone has a question 2GNT related, just PM them a link to here and then explain they will find no love on that site.

Yeah thats the guy. he's such a homo. One of the few reasons im over there is that they have a good amount of info on the 4g63 and i need to do a little research. i.e. im thinking about selling my car and buying a gsx.

I just went over there to check it out... WOW... Nothing but a bunch of idiots whose ignorance is only matched by there feeling of superiority because their car came with a factory hair dryer... Amazing lol

I also saw a few guys I recognized from DSMtuners who use to do nothing but rip on 420a's... Since DSMtuners cracked down on those members, I guess they had to go elsewhere to get out those feelings... I wonder what drives them so hard to belittle us?

I signed on there like 3 years ago and remember posting there about a long tim ago on a topic about 4G63. Mind you, my profile had the 420a stuff but at the time I DID own a modded 1G (small 16g, SAFC blaha mas, 3" exhaust usual shit etc). It just wasnt in my profile.
The funny thing was the responses I was getting. People were asking how could I know so much about 4G63 and DSM's as well as Chrysler when I had a 420a. Most were dissing me and some were even like "shh, maybe he's a secret racer for Dodge/Mopar/Chrysler!".
