ok i realize that a lot of people on here are checking this stuff out at work so i will try and be as respectfull as possible considering the circumstances. Anyway, I am a 21B(combat engineer) in the Louisiana National Guard, went to Iraq, did my duty along side my felow soldiers of the 256th BCT, got injured and almost died, blah blah blah. We lost more than our fair share of people in Iraq due to insurgent attacks but for those of us that made it back to the states last year are thankful for everyday we have on this earth due to a change in perception that comes from being in that type of situation for a year. My question is, how can a man with a family go over there, survive, and come home just to be gunned down by some punk at a club that was scared to get his @#$ beat? I mean what the hell is wrong with people these days? Ever since Katrina displaced all those people on the gulf coast, crime has become a MAJOR problem all over but I personaly have noticed the change in places like Hammond and Baton Rouge. This happened over the weekend when one of our soldiers went to a club one night and ended up getting a fatal gunshot wound. Why is it that the majority of my generation would rather kill someone, even if its an innocent by-stander, that just fight it out with the person you have issues with and let everyone LIVE! Details are still sketchy at this point in time but i just wanted to get your opinions and ask for a small prayer for my felow soldier and his family whom now have to learn to live without him due to the ignorance and lack of respect for the life of others that became apparent this past weekend. I believe his first name was Johnathan as all i knew him by was SSG Bell. Anyway please let a small part of your prayers go up for this man that served his family and country well and the family he has left behind. Much thanks in advance and BE CAREFULL! my condolenses to everyone who is affected by this loss. events like this are part of the reason that i hate today's society. no one has respect for anyone outside of themselves and it really sucks, for a lack of better words, to see something like this happen.

People have no fucking respect for life anymore. Wait, I take that back. People have no fucking repect at ALL anymore for just about ANYTHING.
