Wow, man I love Supras so much, dream car. Will always look for one as a fixer upper but damn hard to find. Ive been looking since about 15, and ive only noticed the prices go up and up.
Edit: Damn, that thing is 800rwhp.

Holy Shit. That's one cool video. Reminds me of one time when I was driving on the highway in my civic and a supra flies by me doing over 100mph. I sped up and got next to him after he slowed down for me. Then we both went WOT at the same time. The rest is history. He looked like he got up to 150mph in 3 sec. and I looked like I hit the brakes and emergency brake at the same time. I later found out it was a twin turbo from a guy who had heard about this supra.

Supras are gay.

7231, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by EclipseSix, Apr-09-06 07:52 AM
Not sure if its the same one, but I'm guessing it might be. Local guy had a 8 second white supra (streetable), was selling it. Had ads on my college's facebook and myspace sites.
Forget what he was selling it for, but I remember it was a pretty penny. That supra definitely looks like the same one.
lemme see if i can find the post in the myspace forums thing...
found it. sold the car on ebay for 72,100 dollars. 93 toyota supra automatic 1520 HP..
Not sure if thats the same one in the video but damn.. elg grove, about 15 minutes from my house is where the car was owned..

7247, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by Dualgen2, Apr-09-06 01:19 PM
That video got over here quickly. The guys on 3si have been going nuts over that Supra. Supra's aren't fair. Never seen a street supra take off like that, and then are A LOT of fast Supra's around here.
EDIT: This video reminds me of the Vette taking off vs that DSM. The Vette isn't as fast but it still took off. no 2gnt or any other import for that matter compares to a Supra on the highway. Go watch the Walser Supra videos where he beats bikes (hayabusa's) and then I believe he loses to some crazy LS1. Forget if that was the same Supra though.

You can try, haha. I think Bill Hahn's is the fastest 2GNT still, but he's N20 powered as well as boosted.

Seems like a great deal to me...I'd take the auction with a grain of salt though. :shrug
*eidt*
that's gotta be a typo or a scam.
|
7304, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by DanKid, Apr-10-06 09:07 AM
I agree it must be a scam but it wierd cause the seller has 100% feedback and over 100 transactions. :scratch
PS. Nevermind. I just saw the notice on the bottom that says not to email the seller's email through the ebay system. Definately a scam.

7305, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by BumpinTalon, Apr-10-06 09:39 AM
he says he'll take cash in person though. hmm.

I already emailed him :P LOL
There's no way I would keep it...as much as I would want to though.
*edit*
oh shoot...I didn't notice the "do not contact not though the ebay system thing." Oh well easy come easy go.
The funny thing is is he can cancel the bidds...but he can't check his message center. I hope this guy rots in hell.
|
7310, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by Pitchblack98, Apr-10-06 10:24 AM
I placed a bid on it to see what would happen. I was the winner bidder for about 2 hours. haha then he canceled my bids.
|
7317, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by 420a-Tnthewerks, Apr-10-06 11:02 AM
I wonder why he would be cancelling bids though? You'd think if it's a scam he would want as many bids as possible.

I'm thinking he wants some person to pay him the "buy it now" for $5,200 outside of the ebay system. That way, there is no negative feedback on his page, and no way for ebay to track the transaction.

Speaking of Supras. Could this be the next generation...?

Sure reminds me of one. Furthermore, if you look at what it's following out of the Nurburgring... :wary

7399, RE: OMFG watch this Supra Posted by micyek, Apr-11-06 01:12 AM
sorry to have derailed this thread but I got an email from this wang
"Thank you for your interest regarding my 1997 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo 6 Spd 39K miles.is like new. Im the original owner. Everything on the car is stock from the factory!!! No aftermarket upgrades. The vehicle was garage kept and every single maintenance record is available.Every and I mean every mileage or monthly maintenance was done by a Certified Toyota mechanic.
I have canceled the auction because I had to many offers for it and I was geting more and more confused as I do not know who is who....so now I will wait for the buyer. So please be honnest with me and tell me if you realy are interested.
My wife was recently promoted so we had to move in London,UK. We brought the car with us, wanting to register it here, but I couldn't because in order to get it registered here it will need serious engine modifications to comply with the EU emission standards. The car is bought from US and is made for US market. So that is why I preffer to sell it quick now and get rid of it while I still can, because time is running and I can't keep it like that, there is a deadline term when I must pay the import tax, so I can't afford to lose time and I prefer to make some money while I still can.
But that wont be a problem because will be shipped from here with Lufthansa Air Cargo and it will take 4-5 days to arrive to your address.
The shipping is free for you.The price of my car is 5,200.00 usd.
From the beginig you have to know that for the payment I request ONLY secure pay,I prefer the payment will be done through ebay. I have to let you know that I want the payment prior shipping since I will shipp it in the same day or next day the payment is complete. Also you have nothing to worry about because this deal will be done ONLY VIA SECURE WAY .The most important thing in all my activity here is that I am affiliated at eBay, I have a a purchase protection account for US$10000 and i a ssume you know what this means. In case we will close this deal, you are protected by ebay. How you are protected by ebay?, well ,in case you will not receive the car as i described to you, ebay will refund you with 100% from the whole amount which you paid to me. But this won't be the case. One conclusion, you are protected. Let me know if you want to buy it, so we can close the deal asap with ebay protection for your money. If you decide to go further let me know asap and When i have all the information provided by you(full name, ebay ID and shipping address), i will gonna contact ebay and they will gonna handle the financial transaction for me.
Thank you
Boy it sure is swell of him to ship a $24K car from London all for $5,200 :rolleyes
