Seriously, everything is getting faster if you haven't noticed. The car market can not compete without having a decent 0-60 or 1/4 time. Kinda sucks, but oh well.

dude the camry is the roach of cars... it will not die. Right now I have one for a beater car and its got 282k on her, the only things that have been replaces was the fuel pump, plugs, wires, distributer... and a shit load of oil. Thats it, It never even had a timming belt done, the tranny is a beast. The best part is she only leeks a bit of oil dosent even burn it.

After seeing the new commercial I was like, wow that's a camry? Looks really nice.

The 2grfe is new for 05'. It was in the Avalon's when their body style changed and now in the newer Camry's. Big step because the v6's in the previous years have been in production since 92'. And there's a hybrid version too.

I saw one in the parking lot at the bar yesterday, It's butt ugly. It's taking visual ques from every other successful car out there and trying really hard to blend them. It's downright disgusting. POS Toyota too, eww.

Makes me sad (and a little embaressed) when a 4 door entry level family sedan can break the 14 sec. mark and people here have spent several thousand dollars trying to get their all motor 2gnts to do the same and failed.

i have a 06 camry for my work car and it is nice. Gets like 36-38 mpg too! I can go about 600 miles on one tank of gas =)

Toyota makes the most reliable cars on the market, but my god they haven't produced a good looking car since the mid 80's. They need to destroy their design team and hire all new.

Forget the Camry.

The new FJ Cruiser starts at $21k! I'm loving the retro-Land Cruiser look of this thing and they are marketing it as actually being capable off road. I've already seen a handful of these things on the road in Phoenix. They are pretty slick.
