So, tonight I'm about ready for bed. I figure hell, I'll go have one last smoke. I go outside light one up. Open the garage door and, I instantly notice my back seat in the lawn. I hear a car start just up the street and peal out of my neighborhood. I take a closer look and my passenger side door is wide open. WTF?!?! Fuckers got my radar detector, and were going for my box. They ripped the cables out, and the speaker wires from the amp (no apparent reason). I'm so pissed I can't even sleep. I've gotta be at work in five hours. I called the cops and they're like "Oh this kind of thing happens all the time". I've got an alarm, but the passenger side door was messed up (now I know this) and wouldn't register being opened. Pieces of shit can't work for what they want they gotta steal shit from other people! I'm just glad my box didn't get jacked. Not like it's anything special, but it's still mine.

I swear if I ever catch the assholes that did this, I'll find a nice shallow grave for them.

hindsight is always 20/20. I was more in bewilderment when it happened. Didn't even think to get in the car and chase 'em down.

did you get a license plate number? I'm damn good at getting those(sad part is I've needed to get them fast twice)

I live on a wooded lot, and the car was parked out of view. They took off without their lights on too. so that was a no go.


On a side note. I think my next mod will be a fuel cutoff switch after I fix the passenger side door. This hit a little too close to home.

I had 3200 worth of damage done to my car and my entire craftsman tool box stolen out of my garage about 2 years ago. They tried to steal my car but jacked up the wire harness under the dash so bad it wouldnt start. I had to have the entire harness replaced at the dealership. I also had about 6000 in tools in my tool box. They rolled the entire box out and down the street. I found the box about 3 blocks away, but it was pretty much empty.

They broke the window in my garage and pulled the handle to release the door from the motor and just lifted the door. The cops got a few good finger prints off of the windows on my car where they pried the door windows back to get in to unlock the doors, but nothings ever come from those.

By the way, this all took place while we were at home. So a garage isnt going to protect your car from someone that really wants it. I do have a network cam in my garage now to catch the next fuckers that try this shit. I can view it from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

Sorry to hear Nick, your next move is to leave the car in the same spot as bait and catch them in the act. This leads to an arrest and prosecution.

Both her and Amy were sleeping. I was about to do the same. Well, fuel cut off swith has been installed and well hidden, and the passenger side door works. I also informed the neighbors of what happened so they will keep a watchfull eye on happenings in the area.

Dude, I do NOT live in the ghetto. It's a very nice respectable neighborhood. Terry has been to my place, and he will tell you it's typical suburbia. I did however stop by my parents and pick up my pistol yesterday. Although the law states you can only shoot the guy if he's in your house. People have gone away for manslaughter because they chased whoever out of their house and shot them in the yard. And if the 68 cutlass wasn't in my stall it would have been in the garage.

the garage is not the end all be all. but, if the douche cant see what you got, they wont go through a lot of trouble just to find out. they would rather hit someone that they know for sure has somethin.

if i feel like someone is following me, i drive around my neighborhood for like 15 minutes until they turn off. ;-) i aint havin none of that crap come to my house.

In that case all you have to do is shoot him in the yard and drag the body inside your house afterwards. Tell the cops you guys fought outside and the guy chased you inside the house so you shot him. :thumbsup

If you shoot someone with salt shot (empty the lead shot from a 12ga shell and fill it with rock salt) and then shoot a robber with it, is that considered a less than lethal weapon and as such carry less penalty? All this is assuming it's self defense or aggrevated by the protection of loved ones or property. Some will say I've been watching too much Kill Bill, but it's a viable question, and Uma Thurman is kinda hot in that movie.

yes you can be charged of a few things. Dependign on his medical history, that can kill him. All the civil lawsuits that can be filed will keep your lawyer busy for weeks. Just proves our judicial system is flat out wrong.

the fact that you merley home-made converted your ammo to "less than lethal" dosent mean its legally such. you could still be charged with a deadly weapons charge. you MIGHT however get away with buying pre/mfg's rubber buckshot. plus you dont wanna shoot rock salt through your scatter gun, thats a good way to eff it up right there.

i still stand by my creedo...if someone comes in my house or in my yard with an intent to do any harm to me, my family, or my property..the only way they will be leaving said property is on a streacher with a white sheet over them.

and yes, aint our judicial system grand? the killers, theives and psychopaths have more rights and win more cases than the law abiding folks.

and they would tack on unlawful discharge of a firearm, regardless of what came out the barrel.
