Anyways, who here is looking to get Kingdom Hearts 2, amongs other like, FFVII: Dirge of Serberus, and FFXII? i just got a job at game crazy so ima def get that game. other than that tell me what games you like, what systems you own and what next gen console u plan on getting (if dont already have xbox360), ps3, nintendo revolution...toodles

I'm a nintendo fanatic, so I will definitely be buying nintendo's revolution when it's out. I want to get the playstaion 3 as well. Xbox 360 > nah.

The best Final Fantasy game that I really latched on to was Final Fantasy VIII > best one imo.

My favorite games have always been Marios, Mario Karts, Zeldas, Donkey Kongs, and Street Fighters.

If anyone has the nintendo DS and wants to play me in mario kart, let me know so I can stomp you.

I've played FF8 soo many times, I love that one too, I played 7 a bunch too. 9, meh, 10, so so. But since that I haven't really gamed much. The cuz is into Halo, I play that sometimes, and besides that.. nothin... no time anymore :(

I liked FFVIII the best too, but the reviews always favored VII and IX. I never got past the very first part of the fourth disc though. I haven't been playing a lot lately, but I have been stuck playing the dirt rally's on gt4. I was really bad at those a while back, picked it back up to try and get my completion to 25%, and now I am drifting like nobody's business on there with my scooby spec c. I DOG the hell out of any rally race now, and do it while looking good. }(

I'm losing interested now in buying video games.

The only thing I do is either download them, or rent and burn them.
Because now lately, I dont have the interested in completing them anymore like I used to so whats the point in shelling out $50 for games that cant hold my interest.

what I find more interesting is either my DS, or downloading Arcade games for emulators like Mame, and playing people online via Kailerra client.
But now my faster computer broke so I cant do that at the moment.

I'm also always playing online with my ZSNES emulator. Street Fighter online is the best.

Do you have any good gaming on-line sites you could post? I was trying to get emulators and roms a long time ago but I couldn't find any good sites. Everytime I clicked on one link it would sent me to like three different sites.

HAHAHA no worries friend, i play FFXI, lvl 60 Paladin, bunch of gear that would be thousands of dollards if sold on ebay, heheheh there went 1 year of my life. i agree that FF8 was th best, but people have always said/ aswell as ratings that FF7 was better. in my opinion FF8s story was way more captivating than that of FF7.So no kingdom hearts fans? Btw i also own a GameCube only because of FF:CC that came out for it and not for the other systems. i aswell cant wait for the new Zelda, it looks kikass!

Zelda games are the best. I remember staying home everyday one whole summer playing zelda. I love the fact that those games pull you into the story so much that you feel like your actually in the game. Call me a nerd but I always used to get sad once I would finish a role playing game like Zelda. ;(

Yeah, I have beat Zelda like 40 times by now. I can't get over the fact that I finished.

I guess I will always be playing games myself, since my brother is an addict and I pay for gamefly account for him -_- He's never tried kingdom hearts though. I plan on buying ps3, already got it reserved, and also the revolution, maybe the 360 if I see any games I like, as of now none though.

I don't know about you guys, but to me the older games with the simple graphics were better than most of the games that come out these days. I remember sitting for hours playing my old 8 bit nintendo games. I have a ps2 and a game cube and usually i'm only able to stay interested in these games for a couple of days. After that I lose interest real quick. Either the old games were just more fun or i'm getting old. :scratch

BTW for my old-school-loving gaming peep: YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! older games had really nothing going for them except for a compelling story that kept you hooked, so even if you were like "yea im that greyish lookin squared blob attackin that other pixel cluster" you still be hooked because developers put that much more effort into the ACTUAL game not just the dazling graphics.

I'm addicted to lineage 2 right now. Played the hell out of any FF game. Never got into warcraft. Zelda rocks, nintendo sucks. Oh the irony of it all!!

As for ps3, it's at gamestop, but a buddy of mine used to work there so thats why I got it (like 2 years ago), they always get me things I order way in advance on time. I would take old school mario over most of these new games. I think it is true that they put more effort into the game since it was not all based on the shiney graphics like now.

I hope I don't get banned for saying this but I never was able to beat the original mario bros. for nintendo. I beat Contra like a billion times once i got the unlimited lives cheat code (I still remember it up, up, down, down, left, right, a, b, start :+ )and i beat Mike Tyson's punch out, and I almost beat Dracula in Castlevania 1 but the bastard killed me but never got even close I think to beating the original Mario bros. :whoa

Oblivion - Yeah this game kicks the shit out of everything else. It's awesome. Play it.

I own XBOX360, XBOX, PS2, Gamecube, GBAdvance, And have preordered my PS3. Yeah I like to game. (Also have owned SNES, NES, Sega Genesis, NeoGeo).

I picked up KH2 as soon as it came out. the first one rocked. you'll be a little lost for the "introduction" part of the game if you didn't play KH: chain of memories (like me) but they kinda fill you in after awhile. i just found a plot summary online of CoM when i was confused. KH2 is pretty good so far. some new game mechanics but still the same feel that made the original so popular. the opening cinematics are pretty damn awesome as well. pick it up - you'll like it :thumbsup

I used to play Neverwinter Nights as well.

My favorite Final Fantasy is VI. I also love IV. VII and VIII are great too. I'm currently replaying IX. I'm close to have beaten 1 - 10. I got very close in 1. I dislike 2. I almost beat 3 but lost my game data. Beat 4 many many times. Beat 5 once. I've beat 6 around 20+ times. I've played 7 til there was nothing left to play. Even beat emerald weapon on lvl 42 with no problems at all. I've not actually beat 8, but i'm close. I beat 9 once, and I have a saved game at the end of 10, i've just not fought sin yet. I've also beat tactics, played the horrible mystic quest, and played the gameboy games.

I'm a big FF fan. but i'm not a fan of 11. As for online games, I play Diablo II LOD.

great thread... i tried to get into FF online but i just don't have the patients because that game just levels soooo slow. but i do love FF8 and FFX honestly i think the story in FFX and FF8 are the best stories. I just could never seem to level high enough to beat them. BTW did anyone actually ever beat one of the weapons on FF7??? I got soooooooo close to the one in the desert!!! I mean like one more hit and it would have been over.

i never actually played ff7 and i still havent beat ff8, damn it gets too hard at times, i remember fighting Guardian forces for hours at a time, now THATs some strategy right there biatch! btw i picked up KH2, its good so far, ive gotten to the seven wonders of twighlight town on the 5th day. but i need to do some HW now...cant wait till spring break...went to parties two nights in arow...not doing that again...

i dont play much, but of the FF games FFIX was my favorite. i bought 8..didnt get into it that much. i liked the older style..more the midevil type of FF..not the present or futuristic ones, so thats why i clung to 9. iv beaten it 2-3x..sometimes ill just start over for the hell of it and play up untill i feel i wanna start again. i dont play it much anymore..i couldent tell you when the last time i actually DID play it...years ago. i dont really do video games that much anymore, but of those i do play are things like GT4 (98% of the time) and some GTA or shoot-em-up games. i liked MGS 1 and 2 (need to buy 1 for PS), i figure i might buy 3 sometime, but maybe not. never got into halo or even the tom clancy series.

the game i probably play the MOST to be honest is socom 2 on my cell phone (verizon rocks). hey, i gotta find something to do while my senile statistics prof is off rambling about god knows what!

World of Warcraft FTW. Best game ever, and the only game I've really ever played beside the Gran Turismo games. I'm the biggest unproductive pos playing wow most of my spare time, which isn't much.

Nah my PC sucks too, like Pentium II and 2 gig space lol. But recently a friend of mine gave me her old computer. It's a 01' Compaq Presario 5000. Not that great, but the hard drive was fubar'd so I got a new 40gb one for 60 bucks, and it has a dvd burner so I'm set for now.
Yeah DoC is japanese, I really didnt care cause I wasnt that interested in it anyway, just curious. But it looks cool so maybe I'll get the English one later.

The best would be a wireless labtop with dvd burner, so you could go anywhere with it and download shit. Need to get that one day...

i think 7 and 8 came for pc as well, at this point u can run any ps1 game on an emulator and depending on ur pc maybe Ps2 games as well.

i came across that last night. most forums or sites were hardcore against commercial roms :( i guess that is what limewire is for.

I just use bittorrent and google.com, whatever game I want with 'torrent' typed in the search. its much easier.

Also just so if no one knows, Polyphony just came out with an awesome new game: Tourist Trophy for PS2. So basically it's Gran Turismo but with sport bikes! Even has some of the same tracks and features. I downloaded it today. :P

What else are some really good PC games that you would reccomend. Lately i've been a BF2 addict. I like to diversify though so i don't get bored of one genre.
