I used to live about an hour NW of downtown Chicago in Woodstock, Il. Even though I was outside of the suburbs, 15 minutes is all it took to get to them.

Believe me, there is no real shortage of stuff to do... I miss that area.

I'm here too, NW suburbs (Palatine), about 40 minutes out from downtown. What there is to do changes completely on where you end up living, but there's almost guaranteed plenty to do within driving distance wherever you live.

I work with them at the Ace Hardware in Palatine and one of them mentioned your name when they saw what I was driving. I was going to get your number from them but forgot. The area I have been looking at is around Wheaton and Glendale Heights because I have a couple friends that live there. I guess I am not sure exactly yet, I am still sorting out where I am going to live. It also depends on where I decide to go to school also, but I just wanted to know if there was quite a few people from here that live up there.

Yeah, it sure is a shithole, I'm there for a few more months and then I'm done, thank god.

Anyways I need a reliable shop to take my car to in case anything goes wrong that I'm incapable of fixing at this point, whats the name of the one you worked at?

The place he worked at is ERT. You've probably heard it mentioned on this board before. Here is their site address http://www.exileracing.com/

Nice, yeah I've seen them linked a few times, are they good? I guess I'll just search and see what people have said, thanks!

edit... seems like they have a lot of shipping/timetable issues. That sucks, but since they're local I can order and just go there and pick it up, can't I? It'd be nice to be able to do that with the bottom end kit sometime, or to have them port and polish and I could pick it up the day its done..
