Peace,
Let me know what you think...

This is what I received after givin' him a little info. on the car along with pics..

"Thank you for your response, after discussing
with my client who really commended your car
instructed to move on with the deal at the price of
($4,700),he said he will be going on a vacation soon
and will rest virtually all the transaction on my
shoulder and assign a shipper like wise that i will
work with and stressed that he will be issuing out a
cashier check of ($9,700) which was a refund payment
of a cancelled order earlier made by him but
will be filed in your name, you are only required to
deduct the cost of your car($4,700) and
send the differece ($5,000) when payment gets to you to a
shipping agent whoose information will be given to
you as at when due, he will be needing the fund to
offset shipping charges, taxes and other cosmetic
repairs/touches,the agent will be responsible for
signing andtransferin! g of title paper and also pickup.
So i require of you to send me your NAME,ADDRESS AND
PHONE NUMBER for payment to be delivered to you via
fedex courier services All other information needed
in completion of this transaction will be given to
you in due time.
thanks"

Peace,
Jem

its a scam. Your bank will accept it and you will think its good. But then a week or so later, your bank will get word from the issuing bank that there is no such account. At which time, your bank willl take all the money from your account.

I think he knew it was a scam and was just checking before he completely forgot about the offer.

My buddy actually went through with one of those types of deals. He had the bank verify that the check was good, twice, and they put the money into his account. He spent over 75% of it, then they found out it wasn't a good check. They took the money that was in the account, but he'd already gotten a new 240sx and bought some mods. They waaaaaaaay overpaid him for his car, so he was happy.
