I've seen a few of them around in the last week or two. I actually was gonna try to race one in my dads truck b/c I thought it was just a regular lancer from behind and he was driving like a bit of an ass so my plan was to show him his car was slow. Anyways ended up passing by him and checking out my mirrors, to my surprise I see the evo hood and front mount.

the Evo RS comes wingless.

I thought that I saw the Evo has the wing as an option. I am not sure if you have to opt to have it deleted tho.

theres an evo around here with the regular lancer low wing. i did a double take when i saw that

I thought I did to BUT for some reason I remembering it costing the same w/o the wing so people just get it. Only seen wingless on RS's.

I saw some show on speed tv where they took an sti, and shaved all of the emblems, removed the spoiler, and added a factory 2.5RS hood. Of course they changed the top mount intercooler, to a front mount, hidden behind mesh. This was after they messed with the car to get it up around 475whp. It was a cool idea, but when the guy showed up to pick up his car, he didnt look happy about the spoiler and hood.

The low and high wings were 'options' in '03, but Mitsu didn't bring any low wing cars over (AFAIK). In '04 they brough the RS without a wing and few low wing models as well, and I'm not sure how the wing thing went in '05 and '06. The wing is a factory option so unless you ordered one without the wing specifically, you got what the dealer had. I don't know anyone that ordered an Evo, btw. The regular Lancer trunk is the same, so a lot of guys snapped up wingless Lancer trunks to make their Evo wingless. The front door skins are the only other body part shared with the base Lancer in case you were wondering.

they actually make kits for the nt lancers to look like the evo's, and some ralliart nt lancers have the evo spoiler stock. and yes some evos come without spoilers.

I have seen some wingless EVOs around here.

I wonder if it's possible to swap the tail lights from the nt to the evo. The nt tails look way better, imo.

The tail lights are different, although the Evo 7 lights are all red and are a direct swap. The Evo MR lights are black instead of chrome and there are a few guys that tint/repaint the stockers.

AFAIK, the EVO and the Lancer do not share any of the same body panels, except MAYBE the trunk and the greenhouse. So the light swap would not be possible.

I don't know about the backend of the evo or lancer or whatever you saw but there is an Evo RS on the market (at least i think it is out now). The Evo RS, AFAIK, has no amenities and no rear wing. If I am providing false information, i'm sorry and someone correct me. If thats not the case, maybe someone just has too much money to throw into a car and did something completely custom.

these are kits they make so you can give the impression your fast if someone doesnt know evo's that well
