That would be nice if it made that much power but I don't see how his setup would be 300WHP better then Armonds. Still a sick ride though. Glad to see the tuner guys haven't ripped on it yet.

And yes, the motor would likely withstand 700HP. The pistons, rods, head, valvetrain, EVERYTHING... was built for and rated at or above 700 HP. How the hell can you say it isn't when you've never even tried to build a motor capable of high power output? Oh yeah, you read Armond's webpage... I guess you do know what it takes. :rolleyes

FYI: 600-1500 HP 420A engines are out there in the drag racing scene. It's an EXTREMELY capable engine and I'm absolutely baffled as to why some of you doubt that.

I didn't read Armonds website. I met him personally. I'm just going by what people have accomplished on this site. Any car forum would think twice before assuming someone could just build a great motor and make twice the horsepower that anyone else has made on here. I guess everyone elses motors were built half ass? For the record, I would love to see the car get to 700WHP but since he sold it who cares. Nothing counts until it actually happens. Same for all the people saying they will run 12's and they run 13's or 14's. more bench racing.

I was just laughing because the original poster obviously doesn't read the for sale/wanted section...or know how to use the search very well. I typed in 2.5l "subject only" and things about this motor in-particular are about the only threads that popped up. I found it humorous. :7

alright sorry im not very good with the 2gnt search as someone with nearly 5k posts, nice count, i hardly use 2gnt as this forum setup is odd for me.. maybe i had somthing check that wasnt supposed to be/vise versa, oh well

I got upset at first but then I saw the ;) . I was only going for 500whp with this motor but I built for over 700hp in case I got bored wiht 500hp. Ohh well plans in life change and the car was nolonger high on my priority list. I want to buy a home so I had to make sacrafices. Once I buy a house, I will buy my M3 and turbo that! I am alos happy to say my turbosetup is now in good hands and the 2gnt.com community should be seeing some pretty sick numbers from it soon! All he needs is my motor to make it complete ;)
