That goes to show you, blue hose is in fact unlawful.
That also got me thinking, can you get pulled over for just having an unmodified fast car "suspected" of street racing?

"But officer, a branch landed on my hood damaging not only the hood but those EXACT components, and the new ones are illegal?!... I didn't know they were illegal, I just wanted to get my car running again"
"As for the muffler, I backed into a curb and this one was cheaper"
Wait, they never mentioned wheels being illegal... we need to ride around in perfectly stock vehicles.

Nah, they cant pull you over for suspecting. You have to be doing something wrong, or have something blatently against the law. Such as a modified exhaust, which is illegal in most states for street vehicles, but most cops dont car. They can "suspect" you for drunk driving and such, but its usually because youre swerving or something. But they cant just pull you over because your car looks fast, it has to have something standing out, such as a license plate, tinted windows, loud music, cracked taillight, ect.

Actually in California a muffler (or anything after the catalytic converter) is 100% legal so long as it does not violate sound laws and does not dump exhaust in frnt of the drivers compartment. So technically, pulling someone over for a muffler is illegal.

technically this and that.... while they may not ADMIT to pulling you over for such reason as a modified vehicle (that would be illegal in most cases) they could use the old "tag light is out" excuse and have a look all over the car once he has you pulled over. then they start in with "oh, i see you have a modified exhaust, i think your too low, those lights arent legal, etc."
its a 2 way street, yeah, someone with a modded car is often more likley to race than someone who is bone stock, and therefore they go after modified vehicles more in hopes of catching the illegals. it does help get some of these stupid ricers off the road. but in the same token, the rest of us have to pay for a few peoples mistakes. i know it sucks being profiled, but at the same token..most of you scream right along with me how they need to get these street racing morons off the road, and this is one way of doing so.
the police have no way of knowing who is an honest enthusiest and who is a punk ricer. they just have to do the best they can at weeding them out. its the price you pay..if you dont wanna play, move to another game or stay under the radar.
no difference than when you go to fly really. everyone is scrutinized and everyone has to go through baggage and personell checks. they dunno who the wrong do-ers are, so they just gotta do the best they can. i dont LIKE it, but in the same token both are necessary to ensure saftey of the rest of the population.

This is really stupid wow... I don't like California.
Listen have ever open your hood with a wrench? If the cable is hanging I how would you grab it with a wrench... I will probably need pliers...now if the cop does not know the difference between the wrench and the pliers how in the world did he qualify to inspect vehicles?
Lets give that cop a lesson This is are pliers
 and this are wrenches

And in the video the guy actually is using a wisegrip. Probably most of the cops don't even know how to change oil.
where is that quote ...cops are dumb...
Also to the guy above that is complete false refer to the topic where we had a discussion what cars kids drive today. You thing a guy with a fart can on civic is more prone to racing that a 17 year old in a z06 or mustang of firebird or their fathers bimmer or mercedes or evo etc... I mean come on how would they enforce those.. all is just an excuse to collect money... the only thing they should be able to use is the environmental crap.. but they didn't... this is my opinion

if you look real close in the vid, you can see the driver pull an adjustable wrench from the floor. same concept though, dont think it would be easy with an adjustable wrench, not to mention that if he can see it on the outside of your seat, he is in your lap through that window.

I hope no one wasted valuable hard drive space on that crap. The only uses I could think of are using it to make my honda buddies mad and getting myself pumped up to knock someone out...worst e-crap ever...
