5005, passing FL inspection?
Posted by Erik, Mar-09-06 05:30 AM
I'm moving from Kansas (where you need no hood) to Ft. Lauderdale. I used to live in Sunrise, Fl back when emmissions where enforced. I've heard since that they have stopped all that. My truck has no cat and I want to be sure it will pass visual when I get there next month. I can just weld a high flow one in, but it takes time and money... both in which I have little of.

I was wondering if they give a visual when you register.

nope. my gtp was never inspected when i registered and im 90% sure that the eclipse wasn't either. all you do to register a car down here is stroll down to the tax collectors office, pay the fee and leave.

For both, work and good. Just I'll have to move around since it's a construction company.

they will come out just to check the mileage (they are susppose to anyways), and then you pay your fee and there you go. it is nice. Here in Ga, I was scared cause i know in some parts of GA they do the testing, but not in my area. When I bring up the clipse, i wont have to worry about it.

greg, there is no inspection when you reg a fl car to another fl owner. when i brought my eclipse from illinois to reg in fl, they come out and check to see the vin belongs to the car and small stuff like that.
