48983, The Talon is no more or is it?

I finally finished stripping down my 1995 ESi:

I stripped it pretty damn clean.

That sticker has been on there since the early days, when 2GNT was deciding what it's logo should be. My design wasn't chosen, but I liked it enough to make my own sticker.

It was definitely tough seeing the car drug away on that trailer to the scrap yard. That was my first car. It was with me through college. I drove it away from my wedding. I still drove it every day (whenever it wasn't on jack stands) after my two kids were born. Now it's gone, or is it? I don't feel so bad because the interior, stereo, doors, hatch, fenders, suspension, and bumpers have been moved to the GSX that replaced the ESi. I even changed the locks so that I use the same old key. It's like nothing changed, except I have more traction and less power. I need to take care of the power thing.

Sad to see it go :(

Sad indeed. At least parts of it will continue to live on vicariously. :)

Yeah, you couldn't have stripped it cleaner. It's not really gone since you kept almost all of it!

Was the chassis in rough shape? Perhaps someone could buy the shell for a project car, if it wasn't recycled.

The shell had been in two pretty bad rear end accidents, so I didn't bother trying to find a home for it. It's crushed into a cube by now. With so many of the parts moved onto my present car, I can halfway convince myself that it isn't gone.
