Its my old car still, but Im still looking for a CLEAN 2gb body. Found one but it sold before I could pick it up. Figured out my random reset and uncontrollable idle oscillation, but theres still a few minor problems that add up to me not being as happy with it as I was when I bought it. I cant spend money on something I dont absolutely love.

Wish I could! If it wasnt for the fact that Id need to get the lexan, Id do it. Someone local was selling one for $300. Silver Eclipse with carbon fiber hood and wingless CF hatch....

I agree, I can't justify the money for the hatch without lexan. Although the hood looks great especially for $50, hell I am paying $100 just to have my hood redone.

As for weight shaving though, with the SO around the corner I am doing everything I can, saving my windshield wiper reservoir for after the SO (figure no fluid or reservoir is 5-10lbs.), then removed the AC radiator fan, another 5-10lbs, and been turning off the fan in my hot ass factory, so sweating out the water weight, lost 10lbs this way =P. My goal is to lose another 10lbs before the SO, gogogo 1/4 mile!

You can get halfway there if you take off the glovebox and remove the metal plate in it. Glue it back together and you're done! Also, if you have a CF hood and have removed the stock latch, you can remove the metal plate under the steering column too. There's even a metal piece on the lower part of the steering column trip. All together easily 10-15lbs.

EZ, I was talking about losing 10 lbs of weight on myself, driver still will help =P. As for the rest of the suggestions I may look into some, but I prefer the stock latch personally.

Few more, not if you these rear hatch wiper arm/motor and I think power window motor adds weight also.

power windows adds a lot. I've taken apart my door panels and the ones our ex gs and the there felt like a huge ass difference.

I don't think there is any real difference in weight between the manual windows and power windows honestly. I should have measured this when I did the conversion to prove it. There is a post in the archives by someone who did measure both, and said the power window components actually measured less.

I'm not sure if its the windows for sure or the locks or what. But have 2 sets of door panels, one with power everything, the other base model, and There is a huge difference, perhaps one day i will finally get some time and be able to take the base model doors off and weigh them.

Sorry guys, one person in NEDSM who was turing his 2G GSX into some kind of super race car (I don't think he got any further than having all the seams in the chassis welded; he had money to burn I guess) actually measured the difference between the power window setup and the manual window setup and, surprisingly, the power window setup was a very tiny bit lighter. I think literally 6 ounces, but I don't remember exactly. I do remember that the power window setup was definitely a tiny bit lighter, as odd as that seems.

Hmm, certainly counter-intuitive. With all the motors and what not.
