Never had the stuff before, and I'm not too much of a drinker, but does it really fuck you up that bad? I mean, I guess anything with 151 proof will mess you up, but is it really that much different? I found a website that sells the full strength stuff and then a sissy boy version (because I'm a sissy boy drinker). I just wanted to know some opinions on the stuff first. Taste, effects, and can you mix it with something?

Real Absinthe is illegal in the United States because it is made with wormwood. Wormwood contains a psychoactive chemical called thujone, which is illegal for human consumption in the US.

If you drink anything called Absinthe in the US you are most likely just drinking liquor with a very high level of alcohol and not true Absinthe.

check the link i posted.. that's real Absinthe with Thujone. They will import it to the US and if i remember garauntee's that it will pass customs or your money back?? You can buy it in a huge variety of strengths and %'s of thujone based on the origin of the absinthe.

I got 2 bottles from Germany.

It's defiantely different. Like the guy said above, it tastes like black licorice.

First Time Absinthe'r, not too much of a hardcore drinker most the time, but I love to drink, what is the best one to experience the FULL EFFECT of the drink? I want to feel the whole expereince, you know, the feeling of hallucination and all that jazz.

The one I posted stated that because they are in the Czech Republic, they aren't limited to the amount of thujone they can put into their Absinthe. Their zele premium, or whatever, has 111mg of thujone, whereas most other absinthe has 10mg or 35mg for the bitter. It also says it is legal to possess and consume here, it's just not legal to sell.

i buy absinthe on a regular basis and have tried it from about 15 different suppliers and have found this company to have the highest qualty/best tasting absinth, plus its made by a company in the czech republic not an outside place that "has the absinthe made for them" and the $65 price includes shipping to the US.

but you need to be aware that thujone is a very powerful toxin and if you go pound shots of absinthe to get the effects you'll likely end up in the hospital or dead...

Quoted for truth. Absinthe wasn't made to be downed in shots, it is to be mixed 1 part absinthe to 2 or 3 parts water. You pour the parts over a sugar cube that strains into your cup. The liquid should cloud up to a whitish/light green color when mixed.

It's an experimental drink. This is something I would only drink in the peace and serenity of my home.

What's the thujone content in those?

Good stuff, you have to mix it right, or it'll taste like someone shit black licorice in your mouth. I prefer to mix with vodka though, cuts the flavor back and makes it nice and mellow. It is expensive, but it's legal to import (unless the laws have changed recently) and legal to use, just not legal to resell, so no go on buying it at the bar. Definately read up on it, this a lot of information on the web. The experience I had was more like a body high, I compare it to eating pot, but different. Either way it was enjoyable, but the stuff I had didn't have to high an thujone content either :shrug

you dont necessarily want or need a high thujone content, like i said before thujone is a toxin and the higher the content the less absinthe drink it will take to poison you..the effects arent very much more with a higher content, its barely even noticable, its simply poisoning you faster...you want to buy for the quality and taste not the amount of wormwood in it...its not like doing mushrooms or acid, you arent gonna see wild and crazy things happening..the effects are mild but pleasant, you get heightened awareness and a feeling of content..i suggest that everyone at least try it..the first few times its really hard to drink, its very bitter stuff, but you get used to it and as you develop a taste for it you'll like it more and more..

I don't really want it to be too high, thats why I'm asking. Like I said, I'm not really much of a drinker, and I'm damn sure not a druggy, so tripping isn't something I want to get lost in if the thujone content is too high. I was going to order from the site you posted, since you seem to know about the stuff and said it's the best. They just don't tell how much is in there, and I know the czech's aren't regulated.

thier content is 10mg, with a 120proof. trust me its more than enough to get you and several friends very drunk and feeling very good and still have plenty left for the next party hahaha.

i'm not really sure... They shipped it to me, and i didnt have to do anything except give them my credit card, and information. Maybe there is a way on your credit card that tells them your birthday?
