Though I don't have my 2gnt anymore I still pop up around here from time to time to see what's going on around these parts. Right now I'm deployed to Afcrapistan with another 4 months to go then I'm home, been here since September. Being out here is part of the reason I won't be making it to this year's shootout, just need a few months home without too much travel. The GVR4 is in the shop receiving a 2.3l build, which should be up and running by the time I get home. Stopped driving it back in March when 5th/Reverse went out and the main seal started leaking.

Picked up a couple other project cars recently, one is a 1976 Dodge Colt Coupe and the most recent one is a 1977 Dodge Colt Wagon which is residing in SC at a buddy's house till I get home to can pick it up. Both cars will be receiving a 4g63t swap, one sooner than the other. The coupe needs a restoration first, but both cars do run and drive, the coupe just has some electrical gremlins to work out.

Short history the colts, rebadged 2nd gen Galants and their individual specs

The Wagon
1.6l 4G32
3spd auto - Chrysler a904 Torqueflite
RWD
54k original miles
Garage kept since '98

The Coupe
1.6l 4g32
4spd KM110
RWD
103k Original Miles
Been in storage for the last 10 years

I'll be at next years' shootout to see my 2gnt family though!

Dodge Colt's aren't my bag of chips, but the coupe looked kind of classy.

How'd you get interested in Colt's?

Started reading into the Galant's history and all the previous generations, that's where I found out that the early colts were actually Galants and Lancers. So many 510s and early toyotas in the PNW, I suppose the classic J-tin cars grew on me, plus now I can tinker with the carb on one car and 4g63 swap the other. Growing up around classic muscle cars doesn't help much either, older brother has classic Pontiacs and I have classic Mitsubishis now.

^ That's the kind of Colt I don't really care much for.
