My NFL wild card playoff predictions...

Jets vs. Colts winner: Colts
Manning will carry the Colts past the Jets for sure

Ravens vs. Chiefs winner: Ravens
Two pretty evenly matched teams. Chiefs running game is good but I expect the Ravens defense to stop that pretty quick, and leave the Chiefs with little weapons left to match Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense.

Packers vs. Eagles winner: Eagles
This will be a great game and could go either way I think. Packers are probably the most underrated NFL team in my opinion. Vick has lacked his normal all-star performances and the last two weeks have shown many Eagle weaknesses.

Saints vs. Seahawks winner: Saints
I really wish the Buccaneers or Giants could have been in the playoffs rather than the Seahawks. The Seahawks are fortunate that the NFC West is non-competitive this year and they somehow made it to the postseason. Saints seem to be struggling in recent weeks too but I expect them to fully get the job done against a sub .500 team.

I could see another Saints / Colts matchup, but I've watched the Colts a lot more this season (they're in our division) than I have the Saints, so I have no idea how the gold and black are playing this season.

I've followed each team and I have to say either the Saints or Seahawks will get the ring. But it would surprise people if Eagles win this year with Vicks victory comeback.

How the hell did you arrive at that conclusion? Seattle doesn't stand a chance in hell...Period. It's a fluke they're even in the post season. And we beat the Saints in week 15. Two weeks later they lost to the Bucs... I just don't see them winning again.

I definately don't see the Seahawks going anywhere. I could see the Saints losing in the second round against the Bears or Falcons though.

I just like QB's who stay in the pocket amidst the heat and blitzes from the defense (QB's like Brady and Peyton Manning) vs. scrambling QB's (like Vick or Roethlisberger)

All of the ridiculous penalties assigned to players that hit him. When you watch some of the vids where there was "illegal contact" or roughing the passer on Brady those same calls would never have been made against players hitting other QB's in the league. I'll not debate the fact that he's a good player, his numbers obviously speak for themselves, but the guy is still a pussy.

There's a reason football fans refer to ridiculous QB hit flags as the "Brady rule/effect"

Well, I am 1 out of 4 on my picks...

Eagles and Packers was a great game and fun to watch. Packers defense looked awesome and Vick had a par day. Not suprised the Packers took this one as I said before it could go either way

Saints and Seahawks was an obvious shocker. The Saints seemed to be struggling on the defensive side, but Matt Hasselbeck looked great and after a slow start got the job done against the champs.

Ravens and Chiefs was my one right choice. Ravens defense was stellar and stopped the league's leading rushing team.

Jets and Colts was also suprising. Colts could be awesome if they had more support for Peyton Manning. Jets slipped by on a late field goal.


Next weekend game predictions:

Packers vs. Falcons: Packers
Packers looked great Sunday and with a great defense to stop the Falcons I expect they will take the win.

Seahawks vs. Bears: Bears
Last weekend was lucky for the Seahawks....I can't see them repeating the same great performance. However, I won't underestimate them as I did before...I expect a close game.

Jets vs. Patriots: Patriots
Tom Brady and the Patriots are awesome in Foxborough and this game could possibly be a blowout like their last meeting together. Jets will not be able to put as many points on the board as the Patriots unless their defense really steps up.

Ravens vs. Steelers: Ravens
Steelers have historically been awesome against the Ravens with Rothlisberger at QB. This may be the closest matchup all weekend with either team capable of winning. Both teams have equally dangerous offenses and defenses. I'm only picking the Ravens because I don't really care for Big Ben...

I'm now 3 for 8 on my picks....not so good.

Last weekend's action:

Ravens vs. Steelers: Ravens looked awesome the first half but showed the teams' many weaknesses in the second half leading to their loss. Steelers defense looked inpenetrable

Jets vs. Patriots: I was stunned by this game...Jets defense played awesome coverage and didn't allow the Patriots any good passing opportunities. I don't know why Patriots tried to run the ball against one of the best run defenses and with poor runners. I expected more unique and unusual plays from Belicheck to win this game. Patriots defense is also sub-par and needs alot of work.

Seahawks at Bears: Cutler had a good game and solidly beat the Seahawks....they just need to remember that the Packers are a way better team then what they faced this week.

Packers at Atlanta: Rodgers has looked awesome in the playoffs and despite Atlanta playing very well they couldn't match his performance.

Next week predictions....

Packers vs. Bears: Packers
Unless Rodgers get hurt or injured I expect the Packers take care of the Bears pretty easily. The Bears only playoff game has been against the worst playoff team this year. Playing at Soldier field could add a different element to the game but Packers will take care of business I believe.

Jets vs. Steelers: Steelers
Lets hope the Steelers win to shut Rex Ryan and the Jets up. With two of the best ranked defenses I expect a low scoring game. Turnovers, penalties, and big plays could make a difference in this game. I don't discount the Jets winning this game because they have previously beaten the Colts and Patriots who both have explosive offenses. This game will likely be different because the Steelers defense is much better than the Colts and Patriots.

How about dem Jets!? I am a hardcore Giants fan and always have been, but I have never hated on the Jets and I have been rooting for them since the Giants left like a fat kid leaving a dodge ball game with his tail between his legs. Embarrassing and to their season.

Lets go Jets! I hope they abuse Raplisburger just like they abused that fag Brady.

I don't like the Jets or the Steelers, but I hate the Steelers less so I hope they win.

I like the Giants too, but Eli had a rough year with all those interceptions. Packers were more deserving of the last wild card spot in my opinion, and their wins against the Eagles and Falcons also proved this.

His body language may depict that but your assumption is whack. Cutler is one of the hardest working QB's in today's game and is a film studier second to none Peyton Manning. Not to mention his 2 rush TD's and 2 passing TD's in last weeks playoff game. The only other QB to do that? Otto Graham with the Browns in the 50's. Sorry I just get sick of people sandbagging him.

My take on this weekend...

If the steelers get to Sanchez early and pressure him, it's game over. The steelers defense has proven to be a formidable foe in this playoff run. The jets defense is not to far behind them...but I don't see Sanchez being on point this game. I give it to he steelers.

I'm going with the bears (obviously). Its going to be a test between the teams defenses and which one keeps their composure together. There Bears will need their special teams to be perfect this game as well. Toughest matchup will be covering the packers WR's.

Packers vs. Bears

Both games this weekend were dominated by one team each half. On this game the Packers came out early to a 14-0 lead and in the second half third string Bears QB Hanie lead an impressive comeback attempt. I really think the Bears could be a championship team with a solid and reliable QB. Their defense is great and Matt Forte and Devin Hester offer awesome running attacks. Although, Rodgers didn't look as good as the last two playoff games he got the job done.

Jets vs. Steelers

Steelers defense was inpenetrable like usual and came out to an impressive 24-0 lead right before the half. The Jets didn't have enough offensive aggresiveness to come back from that deficit in the second half.


Next week's predictions....

SuperBowl XLV Steelers vs. Packers: Steelers

I really want to see Aaron Rodgers and the Pack win this game but I think the Steelers are going to beat em. The Steelers defense is just too good, and in all probability will mute any Packers running game they may have. Rodgers will have to really step up and have an excellent game against the NFL's best defense. Steelers are facing a formidable defense themselves and Mendenhall and Roethlisberger will have tough running and passing opponents. Turnovers and penalties could make the deciding difference in this game. Roethlisberger and the Steelers also have recent Superbowl experience behind them. This will be a great game to watch, and I think both the Packers and Steelers have earned their places in the Superbowl as great teams to beat. Packers have beaten both of the NFC's top teams in the Eagles and Falcons, and the Steelers shut down their bitter rival the Ravens and a creative Jets defense that stopped both the Colts and the Patriots.
