Anyone here drive a Mini Cooper. What are your experiences with them? Been looking into these, I think it may very well be my next car.

A co-worker has a Cooper S, and said that it is a fun little car when he disregards the looks of it. Good handling and "peppy".

If you're going to buy a mini, buy a JCW. Otherwise you're just wasting money.

My wife has an '05 MCS that we bought new. Supercharger, 6 speed MT, and LSD. It will scoot, but won't blow the tires away. It communicates fairly well, corners hard and brakes well. I enjoy driving it if I ignore the princess blue pearl paint and white racing stripes. The sucesses of that car have inspired mods to my car. My wife commutes to work in it with a baby in the back. I will say that I am starting to get annoyed with the maintenance. Front and rear oxygen sensors have died, but were covered under warranty. The hydraulic motor mount died and was not covered. The reverse sensor died and was not covered. The low speed radiator fan control has died (I'll change it eventually). The combination oil pan/support structure is leaking (I'll change this when the clutch goes). The drivers side inner axle boot is leaking (I'll change this when the axle dies). The suspension bushings are cracking (whatever). They like to use Torx bolts, clips that need special tools, and electrical connectors that don't open like you expect. All this and Mini won't sell you a proper repair manual. I only have a crappy electronic dealership repair program from E-bay. Sold yet?
